Hockey's a funny game. They're playing way better than yesterday but haven't found the back of the net. All the forwards looked a lot more engaged with the tweaks to the lines. The Sting are taking advantage of being the more rested team. Need a big kill to start the 2nd and then more of the same at 5v5

Been a really strong 40 minutes. They are checking & backchecking like it's a playoff game.

Be huge to hold on here but Erie is definitely gonna have a big push.

Big 3rd period for the Buzz.. go out and get the W ...With a W and a SAG loss wed only be 3 pts behind them and 5pts back from Erie in 4th.... which is pretty nuts... Erie is a win-able series imo.. Sag a little less but still win-able.

That's one of my favorite wins of the year. Total 60 minute effort top to bottom. From the moment the puck dropped they looked like a team that wasn't gonna be denied tonight.

If not for the Erie goalie, Erliden this wouldn't of been close. He was sensational.

Another great night for Maillet who I wish could've gotten the shutout. He's feeling it right now. Love seeing it.

Isn't really one line or pair to praise tonight for me. All 4 lines and 3 pairs were awesome. Bodins best game in months. Barr was really strong. Wish he would've scored on that PS! 4th line was running everyone over all night.

2PPGs!!! A miracle! He doesn't get a point on the 4th goal, but Karimov going hard until the buzzer drew a call & off that faceoff Manza scores. Love to see that. Letang is trusting him more & more. Just need him to get going now.

Fischer is a man amongst boys as of late. Comical to watch at times. He can't stop scoring now either.

Luecke left hurt so did Beamish tho... Let's hope those aren't serious, especially Beamish. Can't afford to lose him.

Already a successful weekend but why not go for a sweep tomorrow vs an elite KGN team!

That was awesome to watch! Swapping Doucette and Manza seemed to give everyone a little bit of extra spring in their step. Sarnia's physicality wore down Erie and you could tell it was starting to annoy them late in the second.

Best games from Doucette and Wainwright in a bit. Both were using their speed well. It helped open up some opportunities for Di Iorio. He opened up some opportunities for himself too. Almost had a beauty back in the first. We would have seen that on the plays of the week if he finished it. Glad he got the ENG because he couldn't buy one against Erliden.

Does Brown's motor ever stop? He was everywhere. Hard forechecking, going to deep in his own end to help out his d-men, and wasn't shy about throwing or taking hits.

Fischer was loving the physicality too. His offensive ability from the backend is always what sticks out to me though. That stretch pass on Wainwright's goal was gorgeous! He's got a shot at 20 goals as a d-man this year too which is crazy considering how much time he missed (on pace for 19 right now).

Maillet was rock solid today. Those saves on Frasca and Spence to start the second were huge. It allowed the Sting to be the frontrunner for the whole game, which is when they're at their best.

Let's carry this into tomorrow and get the weekend sweep!

That Wainwright goal was just filthy. Nasty saucer pass from Fischer from his own end to their blue line in stride to Wainwright who at top speed picks the far side top corner. That's elite stuff.

Brown is quickly becoming my favourite player on the team if he wasn't already. His effort on a night to night basis is crazy. For an average sized kid he wins more battles than anyone. Never stops hounding the puck & is now being really physical. Captain material.

Fischer is on another level right now. As of late he's shut down elite opponents like Greentree/Protas, Luchanko (5on5), Fimis/Spence/Alfano, Musty, Lardis. On top of that he's been on fire offensively with 6G/3A in his last 5 games. If he keeps trending like this he'll be one of the best home grown D Sarnia has ever had. Just worry how much gas he (& Young) got in the tank for today. They've played a ton the last 2 nights & KGN is a powerhouse offensively.

Gonna be a tough one vs KGN. Highest scoring team in the league since the TDL. Their top guns up front have been as good if not better than everyone else in 2025. Sarnia will have to play with a similar level of desperation, cohesion, structure as they did vs Erie because if they give them space they'll make em pay.

Would love to see Karimov get back on the scoresheet as he's been snakebitten as of late.

Already a successful weekend, but a sweep would be fantastic. Hopefully the boys have gas left in the tank after two pretty chippy, physical tight games!

Beamish is a game time decision today. He got busted up late last night falling into Maillet during a scramble.

If he can't go that'll obviously be a huge loss for them.

Same pairs again. Surzycia starts. No Luecke so Hall draws in.

No Beamish So Bridgewater draws in. Edwards and Karimov L4. And Maillet is starting now according to the Sting lineup.

Huge loss up front/down the middle. L1 has been unbelievable together. Especially vs KGN who has elite face off guys like Hay.

Hopefully nothing wrong with Surzycia and the original lineup sheet was just incorrect having him starting.

Not loving our chances without Beamish & at the end of a 3in3.

What a dumb penalty by Wainwright. Good grief. Would've had a lengthy 5on3 and he comes flying in way after. Gotta be smarter than that. Jesus.

Unfortunately I was right about scoring on bunches. Those first 5 minutes were brutal and KGN made them pay.

They are looking a bit tired now. Gonna have to really dig in for the 3rd.

Bishop for KGN only got a 2 min for cross checking ridiculous.

Damn! Would've been awesome to steal at least a point out of that one. Filak breakaway & Brown 2on1 were such great looks. Outside that they couldn't get anything going. Bit of fatigue mixed with some great D by KGN. Thats one big, mobile Dcore they got. Was impressed by them.

Karimov was their best F today IMO. He was buzzing all day. I thought this was Barr's best weekend of the yr. Strong in all 3 games. Bodin also played a lot better yesterday & today. Fischer looked exhausted in the 2nd half of this one. A lot of miles in those legs these last 72 hours lol.

Im still pleased that they didn't break. Didn't start letting KGN dominate them & get chance after chance. Still kept their structure & compete. end of a 3in3, missing your # 1C vs an elite team that could've gotten ugly quick. Take out those horrid 5 minutes & they hung with them.

Still a good weekend getting 4/6. Hopefully get Beamish back & rest up before a tough one down in Windsor.

Incredibly frustrating. 55 minutes of great play, 5 minutes of letting up. And hugely agree with that idiotic penalty. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Kingston's depth made the difference. They can afford to split up their ice time more evenly in the two previous games compared to the Sting who had to rely on their top dogs on Friday and Saturday. You could tell Sarnia didn't have anything left in their legs after Kingston took the lead.

The untimely penalties are the biggest thing to clean up. Moses can't take that cross-checking minor shortly after Kingston scored twice and Wainwright can't take away a 5v3 by going after Bishop either.

Outside of that 5 minute stretch, they played really solid defensive hockey. Kingston was averaging nearly six goals per game in 2025 coming into today. The Sting only gave up four and one was an empty netter.

The games against Windsor, Erie, and Kingston show you that this young team is maturing. They're playing within structure, taking pride in their defence, and aren't shy about getting physical. That's the biggest reason why they've been a tough out for everybody in the OHL lately
