Seca says there might be a couple moves between now and the trade deadline. Hopefully there not just small moves for late round picks.

Need to move Johnston, possibly wainwright make room for Di iorio in top 6 in the middle. Probably our most valuable playoff (22games 6goals 2 GWG) experienced peice really good on draws 200ft player speed and get in on offense too think the interest will be high on him if he is available. Ideally we need a RW and some picks to replace doucette and filak who are both playing RW get rid of Johnston for 8th rounder or later maybe.
Chartier I'd think might have some value the way he is playing in strathroy. I dont see chartier coming back for bigger role with Buzz.
I'd think D are set unless get interest in Bodin(very disappointing pickup) but hard to move Euros at value.
Maybe moses, would be enticing player for a team wanting some pk grit and role player with speed.

That's all I see value wise as kostuch injury maybe have hurt his value too if DS was moving him.

Thoughts?

The boys have definitely kept up with the energy & desperation. Great start. Some sweet shots & that Doucette pass for Edwards goal was nasty. Surzycia really good.

Loving the new snarl & physicality this team is playing with. You can tell it bothers other teams. Gotta keep it up!

That right there is why Casey Bridgewater should be running one of the 2 PP units. Elite skating. Walks the line. Gets a shot they traffic and in.

Some big goals to get momentum back after SSM got within one. Brown continues to be scorching hot..Beamish is on fire and what a pass on the 23 goal.

Don't even wanna waste energy on it. But Jesus fricken Christ man. These refs are a joke. How in the world does Young end up in the box & no SSM guys do? Even during the scrum the ref pointed at Young & Cloutier then Cloutier is out there for the PP???? Morons.

Some very timely goals that period to stay up 2. Big PK to start the 3rd but both Fischer & Young unavailable for it.

What an absolute clinic the boys put on in the 3rd period! Wow. Best defensive period they've played maybe all year. I'm actually sorta shocked lmao.

Brown-Beamish-Filak are unbelievable. Beamish has figured this league out me thinks. He dominated all 3 games this week. Kid is so smart & so relentless. All three get a goal, Beamish 1G/2A 14/24 on face offs, Brown 1G/1A, +4, Filak 1G, +3 & made so many subtle plays.

Easily the best game from L2. Edwards was everywhere today. Wainwright could've had 2or3 goals + provided the screen on Bridgewater/s goal. Doucette seemed to play pissed off today. He was throwing his weight around all day.

Another day where L3 must've thrown 15+ hits. Many pretty big. Hall also made some great back checks. Luecke 1st OHL goal too! Great weekend for him.

Di Ioiro/Karimov were dangerous, but barely played. Again.. *sigh*

Young/Fischer each grab 1A & go +6. Loved Hurt-O'Brien once again. Playing so simple & aggressive as a pair. Bridgewater gets the GWG & Bodin had his best game in a bit.

Surzycia rock solid as he usually is. Thought they did a great job keeping it outside, but his rebound control in particular was excellent.

5/6 on the week. Best group of games they've played consecutively maybe all season honestly. Yes, not high level teams, but they played hard, desperate & out worked all 3 teams. Great foundation to set moving forward on how they have to play if they wanna win.

This week in 3GP
Beamish 4G/3A, +7, 46/73 (63%) on draws
Brown 2G/4A, +8
Filak 1G/1A, +5 & thought he made so many good plays on PK, down low.

Young: 3A, +6
Fischer: 2G/1A, +4

Surzycia: 79/87, .908 Sv%

Top line, top pair & starting goalie absolutely delivered in a really big week for this team.

O'brien was a beast today blocking shots and making so many great passes and leaving zone really like his game.
BODIN FALLS DOWN EVEN MORE TO 6TH d and it's not close.
Bridgewater needs to play more pp and pk just earns it. IMO
Decent week 5 of 6 points but gave flint .
Let's not circle the wagans just year back to reality next week.
See how the next month shapes up for Buzz.

Moses, johnston scratch injuries? As message to them letang rather play 1 less than put them in lineup....ouch

Moses hurt. Johnston guessing scratched. We all know he wouldn't be playing like they are right now with all this physicality, hard back checking. Im fine with it. Gives Filak/Wainwright/Beamish extra shifts. Just wish he was giving 17/19 more ice...

Totally agree on O'Brien! He's been impressive. Nothing flashy, just simple & effective. He's calmed Hurt right down. Been a strong pair 5on5 and on PK.

What a nasty assist today by Beamish on Brown's goal. Walks thru 3 Soo guys before a backhand pass to Brown who just has to hit the net.

After having 0Points his first 5 games he has 8 points in his last 5 outings. Quickly becoming one of the best face off takers in the league, too.

He's certainly found his footing in the league & it's been massive for this team. Really enjoy watching him play. Works his tail off every shift. Relentless on the forecheck and down low.

Just a thought. Perhaps if Beamish had been with the team from day one things might be a lot better . I think the younger guys see how he pushes the pace , doesn't coast on the back-check and for the most part doesn't panic. He is so good on the faceoffs . A little bit of success goes a long way with the young guys most of whom haven't been down the road when things were rocky in their midget days.I also think the 2 coach on the bench thing is better for Letang ,gets more involved , more vocal and just plain makes him think more. Keep it like it is unless it proves to be too much work . Hope to see the same high level of play vs the Rangers. Last game before Christmas break you never know

I didn't get to watch today but I'm glad to see the Sting were able to pick up another W. Looks like the top line had another great game. Putting that line together has helped kickstart this good stretch. You have to think Beamish is on the radar of NHL scouts. He has such a high motor, knows where to be in every situation, and is incredibly good on draws. His assist on Brown's goal today was beautiful. Great job this weekend getting 5/6 points. Bigger tests against Kitchener and London next week. I'm hoping they're able to get one of those two because that would send them into the Christmas break with a lot of confidence

I completely agree. He's made the game easier for everyone. Wins so many draws. Makes them start with the puck. He's gotten Brown going & that's been huge for them. He's also helped the PK a lot.

Agree on Letang too. He's like a brand new man with only 1 assistant lol. Going up & down the bench constantly talking to guys, taking out the tablet etc. Where was this guy all season & previous seasons?

Still have my issues (17/19 L4, Omeri PP2 over Bridgewater or Karimov), but this new approach has definitely made a difference. Not seeing nearly as many brain farts, brutal turnovers & their breakdowns aren't nearly as bad.

But was an easier week of opponents. See if they can remain somewhat structured vs KIT & LDN.

Not holding out much hope in a win, but somehow splitting would be really nice. I figured LDN would be the "easier" matchup but I was mistaken.

This weekend they played WSR x2 & KIT. Without Cowan Dickinson Bonk Barkey & they still went 2-1 & came within 2 minute of OT in their loss.

They are absolutely humming. Fear we might be in for a rough one @ LDN & we have been thoroughly outmatched 2 seasons in a row whenever we play Kitchener.

3 weaker opponents let's not push beamish too much here, he has come in and helped in middle that's forsure and Brown is getting more confidence which is great. Don't think we would be in any different position if beamish was here from beginning. The blender has broken and line chemistry is showing. Letang isn't changing lines mid game like was all year. Big difference for players actually ans it shows.
Plus he stopped playing Johnston and guess what we started winning against weaker teams yes but seems to be more consistant effort. The big difference is the D look different with Bodin playing much more limited role this helps Back end and Obrien coming in gives us 2 lines of stable D which goes a long way.
Obrien is the biggest improvement factor all around with this team. Steady and good puck mover which gets puck to forwards finally to get things going. Rather than Bobby Orr young thinking he can just lead the rush all the time and ruin all forward flow. That is huge improvement. Both Wainwright and beamish been very good on draws which helps possession that's forsure.
The back check has been there all year but usually included a D as well who was caught that has changed our ad plan.
Also let's not say things are different with Letang a zebra can't hide its stripes let's hope DS has put Letangs arrogance in check for moment.
There will be some moves coming.
