Definitely interesting. Backs up what OHL4Life said earlier this week with Fitzgerald. Been watching a ton of video on him. Have made some videos if he is indeed the puck haha.

A lot of rumors a lot of these kids are playing games/trying to dictate where they are gonna go. Makes for a wild draft night. Can't wait.
 


And on que.... Hate that these kids do this (if they r just trying to fall to certain teams)

There's a real chance these are Sarnia's top 2 choices. If this is a new development then we gotta audible last minute.

Just take Wassilyn if these kids are being annoying please.

Gonna be Belchetz from all reports.

With Valentini and Fitzgerald doing what they are doing I want Wassilyn. If not him then your looking at Amidovski, McLean, Di Lorio as 3 possible picks.

Valentini, Fitzgerald going USHL. Malhotra won't go anywhere but Guelph. Wassilyn doesn't wanna play here.

What a fricken bummer. Move up to 2 & all the kids ranked top 5 become unavailable. Can not stand these draft games these kids play.

I really hope these high end kids are legit going the us or bchl route and not to London or kitchener . I get they are two of the top programs in the league but geez, there's gotta be some sort of way they don't allow them if they are committed to other leagues.
That being said from what we think we know, who are our top three targets now?

Agreed. Be very frustrating if we seem them get taken by those teams then commit in September or next September.

I know we aren't LDN/KIT but we are a solid spot now. Good attendance, good arena, WJC coach, good owner etc.

Alessandro Di Iorio, Nathan Amidovski, Alex McLean, Parker Vaughan are probably the names to look for. All had great seasons. But it's anyone's guess now. Who knows what happens the next 48 hours lol.

They need to make a rule where these kids are forced to decide which route they are taking before the draft CHL or NCAA. So they can’t pull this shit at the draft. It should be a privilege to play in the CHL, and these kids and their agents shouldn’t be able to choose where they play. And if this does keep happening the teams that miss out on those top players should get anextra pick or something.

Fitzgerald is shocking. He did an interview with the OHL in January saying he's dreamt of playing in the league his whole life. His dad played in it & he wants to follow it.

Seems to have caught everyone off guard he did it. Out of nowhere 2 days before the draft too. With Sarnia seemingly ready to pick him they are probably very frustrated.

Absolute bullshit. League needs to get control of this in a hurry it’s getting out of hand. And making it completely unfair.

Yes make them declare for eligibility solves the games being played. Also would mean players without choice end up in different leagues where they have choice. But that’s better than the games.

The rule should be if you change your mind and choose to become available, you should be made available to the teams that thought you were not available. Otherwise it is a mockery of the draft.

It would be counterproductive for the league to put restrictions on players trying to defect from other leagues. They want the players to defect lol.

If these top end players are legit going to the other leagues, so be it. If these players are just saying they are going that route then go to ohl teams they want to play for then that's a huge issue for this league. That's not a model the league should be allowing and using. Like another poster stated , it should be a privilege to play in the ohl.
