If Legwand/Seca haven't made up their mind yet this next week will if it's bad. Flint, Owen Sound, Soo. Three rebuilding teams. Soo without their best player. Owen Sound without their best player.

anything worse than a 2-1 record & I don't know how something isn't done. Even if they like Alan & think he's a good coach you have to do it. Hell even if you think this team isn't that good winning 2 games out of 20 & being blown out every night is not something that should be acceptable.

I was talking to another STH holder yesterday who's been one since day 1 & he's been a Letang fan & liked his work, but even he kept saying that something just isn't right with this team. They are way to disorganized & out of sync in all facets 30 games into the season for something not to be done.

I like @SarniaStingFan think Friday & today were 2 of their better games recently.. They lost 12-3 in the games... Today they gave up 47 shots! Even with them legitimately playing fairly well for 50 minutes. The lack of continuity, chemistry up front is staggering this deep into the season. The lack of creativity is mind numbing to watch because I know we have guys that can make plays in this league. I don't think we have 3PPGs in the last 18 games...

The team is broken & it has been for over a month. It's getting to a point where if they don't fire AT LEAST the assistants you are telling the fan base you don't care because this is ridiculous & getting very, very tiring to watch.
Again I go back to my point of who do you bring in during the middle of the season to replace him or the assistants? It’s the middle of the season, all the top calibre coaches are coaching already. Yes it would be nice to give a guy like Jason Williams (Strathroy Rockets) or Garrett Rutledge (Saginaw) an opportunity to take over but I just don’t see them leaving there teams half way through the year to come to our rebuilding team. If it was during the offseason, yes without a doubt I would say give them an opportunity. But let’s say fire the coaching staff tomorrow and bring in the new coaches and the rest of the season still continues to go down hill, what will the excuse/problem be then? Yes I agree it might be time for a coaching change, but I feel it’s just not the right time to do it.

A Jr.B coach would leave in a heartbeat to come up to the O. The O has been a major stepping stone to the NHL. That being said Sarnia absolutely sucks and no one knows Legends plans for next year.

I get your point & i agree with it to an extent. The extent being what's happening now. They quite literally can't do worse. Giving up more goals than anyone. Not scoring goals.. horrendous special teams. Guys in slumps. Team looks totally demoralized.

A new coach will at least provide a spark of some sort. A new voice for them to listen too. I don't expect hiring a new coach to turn them around & make them this great team, but maybe get one that actually fits how the roster is built. A more uptempo, offensive minded coach to unlock Brown, Karimov, Kostuch (🙏), Wainwright , Beamish, Young, Barr, Bridgwater & Di Iorio/Edwards even further.

The upcoming schedule is as favorable a time to change coaches as u can get. 8 day Christmas break. In January they don't play anytime thru the week. Including a week with only 1 game. It's incredibly light with many games vs lesser teams in the league. That's so much time for them to work on systems, structure etc.

This franchise is a disaster . let's just all agree on that. Will it get better anytime soon? Most likely not.
What needs to happen? Owners sell the team to someone that knows what the eff they are doing and actually build a product the comunity can be proud of.
Is Legwand happy about this? Idk tbh . as long as 3k plus are coming to the home games prob not. I'm a long time fan and it's just so darn tough to go through this disappointment all the time. It's like that bad reoccurring dream we all have. ..

Idk about Legwand selling the team. It's at least taken steps forward under him. Arena improvements have been significant, upgraded facilities for players, deepest run they've had (still choked)..

I'm happy with him as owner. He has a lot of connections to which landed us Filak, Fischer & hopefully get us others.

But changes are needed. Should start with coaches. If not Letang the assistants. If that doesn't fix it then Letang too.

Ah yes. The Sarina sting. @nelli27 can you fix this please lol
Didn't even notice it lol. Don't change it until they actually get a win.

I agree with StingUpdates after next weekend something has to be done. I think assistants will be gone by the 20th of Dec. Just can't have them mentoring this young crew. I'd love to see clean slate with letang gone too but think that might be hard at this time to make happen unless there is a coach and staff available. Just way to stagnant no chemistry no continuity no identity! And most night no effort from a bunch. I would feel bad for 20 seconds if they fired Letang and jefferies. Our special teams cant be that bad but there is no plan there
No change.
My fingers are crossed Legwand cares because at end of day fans wont return.

Not that we have any reason to be positive. But some small positives from this weekend lol.

Brown scored in back 2 back games. My god he needed this. Badly. He was one of their best players today. Hopefully this is him catching fire. Gotta keep 23-40-11 together.

I'm really liking the O'Brien-Hurt 2nd pair. They seem to mesh well. Wonder where Young slots in if back vs FLT tho. I wouldn't split up 6-72. Either replace Bodin top pair, or have him 3rd pair w/Bridgewater.

It's annoying to keep saying this, but Maillet was really strong today despite the #s. He's only had 1 start I really left thinking man he was awful today & funny enough it was a W vs Flint. Team has done him no favors. He's been a solid backup.

I continue to like Bridgewater's game. He's really come a long way defensively already. Somehow in the last 14 games (1 win) he is +3. Now I wanna see Letang let him go a bit offensively. He deserves a shot on the PP over Bodin/Hurt/Barr.

So yah. There's our positives lol & that Di Iorio & Young hopefully are back this week.

Generals fire Head coach and they are up there near 1st place going for it but last place sting do nothing because there is no cooches? Laughable. Fired due to underperforming team. Hmmm guess some organizations want to win and can actually see a coach leading team in a bad direction

Pull a Boston bruins and go and get your guy. Maybe I am just overreacting since we are where we are but a shakeup is needed and a reasonable candidate is now presumably available.

Complete and total complacency like this will rot through an organization to its core (including the players). So many examples of this in other pro and amateur sports. Need to do something. Got a laugh out of iPads on the bench, certainly that will change things!!!

This team, ownership, location etc , has too many things working in our favour to be where we are.

Awesome to see Doucette get rewarded with a commitment! Easy guy to root for. Passed over in O draft. Walked on as a FA. Played in a depth role as a rookie. Yr by yr has taken steps forward to become our best goal scorer.

Imagine we see Filak commit somewhere before the seasons done.

It did make me chuckle seeing OSH fire their coach & it's come out it was for stylistic differences. While they sit 2 points out of 1st & are coming off their best win of the season.

Few years ago were were in same spot with a loaded team but no one noticed the instabilities of Letang then. Good for Oshawa realizing their guy just isn't going to get it done. That's an experienced GM and MGMt crew who have been there many times
DS is new and maybe can't realize the issues with this team and do what needs to be done. I still think letang stays and DS will ride the year out.

Hearing some whispers about Haley being let go, but don't wanna outright say it's true. So we'll see if anything comes out today or tomorrow about it.

It would be a good start if it happens. Nothing against him, but we need an experienced assistant coach to run the defence. Help develop these young guys better & clean up the mess that is our DZone play.

Think more important to let go jefferies pp and pk worst I've seen. Wrong guy gone keep haley and bring in experienced D coach. Jefferies no experience and brings really not much to table from what I see with this team. Or maybe both should go or drop letang to Ast bring in miller bring in someone minor change like Haley is actually laughable

just saw them make a statement about it on twitter.... so yah he's gone.... not sure this changes anything as imo the root problem is Letang. We will see who they bring in.

And there it is. Haley has been let go. Personally think it should've been after last season, but at least they've done it. Wish him the best in whatever he chooses to do.

They NEED to prioritize getting somebody with experience to run the defence/PK. No more of this recently retired BS. Somebody with a proven track record of knowing how to teach & develop on the backend.

Immediately would be talking to O'Rourke who OSH just let go.

Not sure how much leash Jeffries can have left either with the worst PP anyone has ever seen

Least this is the start & them acknowledging this isn't acceptable.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jordan Hill. Has some expirence was a Dman lives in Sarnia and has worked with Letang. Plus he's been hanging around the team a bit so probably knows alot of the players.

Will history repeats it's self....Hill an assistant for Letang in O.S who eventually took his job when Letang left....Same thing could happen here.

Idk. One, I believe he was Letang's assistant coach in OS for 2-3-4 seasons & I'm not sure I want another person on the staff like Letang haha. Two, he's still inexperienced. Only 5 seasons as an assistant. Three there's definitely better candidates out there.

I'll say the positives would be his familiarity with Letang (easier transition).. he's been working with the Adam Oates agency in a player development role so definitely possible he's learned from some great ppl & learned great things.

But as Dave said. The whole former Sting thing has run its course..I'm over it haha.

Don't think this changes anything, looks like Haley is the scape goat for now. LETANG has everyone RIP the line believing his bullshit. There are coaches ans then there are Fake coaches I feel we saw it from letang in playoffs against london and world jrs he is fake coach.
I still would be ok with 2 proven Ast that put pressure on Letang to turn everything 180°

I'm not really in favor of us. Bringing in Hill I'm just saying that would be something Sarnia would do. Given are track record. I'm am also tired of the former sting player as a coach to. It clearly hasn't worked.
