I don't know a whole lot about these things but it does look as though a lot weight is being transferred off of the targeted knee (from right to left leg) approaching contact which is one good sign;

I think this nailed it

Pionk gets 2 games

Jets' Pionk suspended 2 games for kneeing Leafs' Sandin

Very good news! That EASILY could have been a season ending ACL tear.

Also glad to see Pionk was suspended, what a rat. He’s been easily the #1 source of dirty plays against the Leafs the last few seasons, dude is like Matt Cooke dman edition.

Unfortunately Spezza is going to get an even bigger suspension for the retaliation, but whatever, worth it. Would like to see us continue to go after Pionk next time we play the Jets, but with a less important player than Spezza - have Clifford take some runs at him :)

Good news and f*** off Pionk. Just a little f***ing nobody punk.

Glad Sandin is only out for a bit.

Sounds great
Didn’t really have any expectations on when he should’ve came back

I was hoping for around the new year but it was just a random guess

2 games for Pionk, so I’m assuming Spezza gets 4.

Great news than Sandin is only out for a couple weeks

It's a pretty good summary but I wouldn't call it hilarious, I'd call it infuriating. One thing I disagree with though is this:

"At the very least, I’m happy that Spezza stood up for our young stud. I wish he would’ve done it differently"

How? Rats like Pionk develop into escape artists and rarely get what's coming to them. He saw Spezza coming and dropped to the ice and glove passed the puck instead of kicking it to avoid the hit. Spezza's been around long enough to understand this and kept going anyway. I couldn't be happier about it.
