Y'all sleeping on LSW! I feel like he's dropping here for the same reason he dropped out of the first round of the draft this year: he's not "exciting" in any way.

I'm telling you, though, when you combine a good hockey brain with high-level skating (and there are no obvious holes or problems otherwise), you've got something to cook with.

For sure. Recently I've come around to @thejuxtaposer's argument that a player needs at least one elite aspect of his game on order to make the league. Not sure if he qualifies...

If the conventional wisdom is true, you have to take Cardwell. No prospect left really has a high ceiling, and if, in their D+3 season (even ignoring the COVID effect) they were trending like Cardwell... you're probably pretty happy?

We really need to get couple of RD prospects to that top 10 next year, maybe even top 5 if we are lucky and Celebrini/Smith/Mukhamadullin "graduate"

Amazing....15 prospects in and there is still prospects who could play NHL games. :D:thumbu::thumbu::thumbu:
And I'd say it's quite possible we're not at the end of that part of the list. I mean, Cardwell hasn't gotten his chance but looks like he could carve out a bottom six career, and Svoboda is much earlier in his development but maybe doing the same (last week's SJHN podcast was well worth listening to just for the discussion of him).

Beyond that it's a little hazy but there's still some genuine NHL potential lurking with others, too. Wild times for Sharks fans!

Furlong also has a legitimate shot.

Jack Thompson is actually performing pretty well as a 22 yo former 3rd rounder too. And Cam Lund is still a solid prospect. I'd say half the list is still worth being aware of. Not many of them in Spitserov/Barnett anti-awareness territory just yet.

Yup, he was at the top of the "rest of" list for me. He might not have enough offense but he looked like a pro out there the way he defending for Canada at the World Juniors.

Wetsch, Rimashevsky, Roberts...this list is just chock-full of guys who could make it one day.

I'm happy to see Sahlin Wallenius finally getting some love. I voted for him for the last few polls because I think that while he doesn't have sexy dynamic upside I think the floor is there to at least be a useful 4/5 d-man maybe in that Justin Braun sort of mold (to be clear I don't mean stylistically, I just mean in that way where he just one day quietly slots into the lineup and before you know it he's been there for 10 years occupying a steady, solid role that nobody ever gets mad at.)

Thompson is interesting to me. He's older and has less runway but there were some decent reviews of him as a guy with some offensive intrigue from the back end over the last couple of years.

Plus think of the memes relating him to lunatic former lawyer and anti-video-game-crusader Jack Thompson. Bro got disbarred in Florida. How hard must it be to be crazy enough that FLORIDA says "nah man, I think you've done enough and need to just go away."

Oh man! I'd forgotten about the lawyer Jack Thompson...

Not only anti-video-game...

Haha Janet Reno with the sick burn...

And then he brought about the whole "Banned in the USA" thing with 2LiveCrew... Basically responsible for this:

One of the reasons he was apparently disbarred was that at one point he submitted case filings that were full of gay porn as a bizarre only-makes-sense-to-him attempt to discredit an opposing attorney. He claimed said attorney was guilty of making pornography available to anyone of any age, so he put all sorts of explicit stuff in these court documents... which are public record and thus available to anyone of any age.
