You suggested Zetterlund wasn't a legitimate top-6 forward, and yet he has almost identical stats as Meier, who I'm sure you consider to be a top line forward. Pretty obvious what the point is.

One day people will stop comparing two guys on wildly different quality teams. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Zetterlund has produced like a quality second liner over the last calendar year and has a lot of off-puck value. If you're suggesting 100 good games is a "heater", then I don't know what to tell you.
If only we had some way of knowing how Timo Meier would perform if he was on a team like the San Jose Sharks.

Some part of his career we could look at and see how he performed in said scenario.

Regarding Zetterlund

Last year he had 44 points in 19 minutes a night with PP1 time. This is not from a shooting heater.

This year he is getting excellent shooting and goaltending luck. The goalies behind him are outperforming how many chances he gives up by approximately 50%. And the shooting luck is currently outperforming said chance generation by approximately 35%

Meier doesn’t get much PP time in NJ, Zetterlund would likely get even less. The two rosters are too different to compare straight across like that. NJ uses Bratt and Meier on RW does Zetterlund beat either of them out for ice time? Unless they decide to put Meier back to LW where he’s struggled, Zetterlund isn’t a top 6 forward in NJ.

If the Devils are moving a top prospect it should be for a clear upgrade at wing and Zetterlund isn’t that
