I rather trade for Evander Kane at this point
That guy is a trainwreck. Kane in Manhattan. Think about all the distractions there for him. He's the last thing this young squad w/out a captain needs.

I'm not even sure of this. He'd have played over Gaut who was one of our best players.
Well if it took this long for the swelling to go down and then do the surgery, his rehab could take 2 years.Average recovery time is 9 months, NHL players can be as low as 5-6 months. If we go really deep in the playoffs it’s possible we see him, but I doubt it
I was going to reply the following: I think it's standard to wait a week or two to get the surgery after the swelling to go down. They're so much better at it now then they were just 10 years ago.Well if it took this long for the swelling to go down and then do the surgery, his rehab could take 2 years.
That play was dirty on so many levels.

Basically kicked the legs out from under Blais and Blais’ career. Right before his RFA pay day. Disgusting.Pretty much and even if he didn't mean it, he has done it so much this year he has no benefit of doubt.
You know how he says it’s a “bad habit”? I bet the next step is he goes into ‘rehab’ for it and gets lauded for his ‘bravery’.Hence his new nickname "Slewban". Zero suspensions from the NHL. It's baffling.

Then I realized he hurt himself a month to this day. That is a significant time for the swelling to go down, especially considering the underlined (including meds and such).
Wonder if surgery delayed due to COVID and hospital shortage?
Maybe he got the surgery back home in CanadaAgain, in soccer which one might say is plagued with ACL injuries, it's never expected for a month to pass before a surgery.
Not that I've been checking it specifically, but as far as I can remember all the high profile players who tore their ACL never had to wait that long.
Wonder if some of the info on Sammy is incorrect or something.
