The injuries dictate this low number. The guy is a big body that hits like a freight train and has an underrated skillset. Exact type of player and deal the rangers should be looking to sign. Lots of upside.

WTH, glad we moved Buchnevich for 1 year of Blais (2 technically). The LA 1st and Kupari would have been much better. Having Buchnevich locked in over Strome/Copp probably would have been even even better.
I’m glad we had a chance to see how the knee injury progressed before making this signing. It makes me think the Rangers are optimistic on a return to form.

Drury had to sign Blais. Imagine trading Buchnevich for just a late second in a bad draft.
A late second for a guy who was over a PPG and a +29 this season. 11 points in 12 playoff games. One of only a couple Blues players who actually looked dangerous against the Avs. If we had signed him we'd be looking at a huge return in a trade this offseason.
