Prospect Info: Sam Rinzel D Chaska High School-Minnesota 25th overall

excluding the vet Murphy for a near future look

Vlasic-Rinzel -compliment each other perfectly please don't change, they will age like fine wine
EDM/Kaiser-Levshunov - this is all about who compliments Lev the most, only time will tell
KK/EDM/Kaiser/Allan- Cervier/Allan - Allan can play both sides which is a huge plus.

Playing time is needed to determine who gets dealt.

D can't be rushed, some need time to perculate like Forsling, others seemingly like Rinzel if he continues at his present level do not...

we have some time to sort it all out, that while our young C,LW and RW start filling out spots and that is present...its happening as we speak and the young bucks are gonna get the opportunities moving forward.

Don't think KD is gonna take on too many more of the maroons, smiths, martineez, broadie's moving forward that was likely just a stop gap to get to this point.

Next years club is going to be super youthful.

Rinzel is a future letter guy

Yeah, re-reading the initial post, it wasn't clear exactly who he was talking about, but he made it seem like if we drafted Schaefer, then 2 or even 3 of the big 3 would be available as trade bait.

I said Levshunov, Rinzel and Vlasic are locks because they fit what @Hattrick Kane was talking about. The other guys to me have question marks. In my opinion, I can see either of them or all as trade bait for forward help, especially if they draft Schaefer. And you still have Allan and Crevier as bottom pairing defenseman which I believe fits them more. Even a guy like Harding they just signed they might see something in along those lines.

For sure. Just a misunderstanding on my part. :thumbu:

This kid is your future #1D.
I do think Lev was a tad overrated at the draft due to his prime playing position, very similar to the Reinbeicher situation.
Both should be solid #2-3 D behind the main guys (Hutson/Rinzel).
Funny how the draft works sometimes… you get ti draft a D very early and it’s the guy you drafted much later that will likely become your #1.

Do not sleep on Levshunov yet.

I think the Calder is Demidov's to lose next year.

I think Rinzel will have a rookie season like Faber. He will hover around 24 minutes a game and put up 45ish points. Demidov will just be too flashy not to win it.

Rinzel just being nominated for the Calder next year is a huge win.

He reminds me of Larry Robinson. Not the physical aspect but just how lanky he is. He's Big Bird 2.0.

Demidov, Buium, Rinzel, Leonard, Misa
Should we get Misa reports wee that he would do a year in college which given how great Frank turned out I would be all for it. Misa coming in at the beginning of the 2027 season with a more rounded out game would be huge and have an even bigger impact than Nazar did at the gate
