So after a hot start he has basically put up the type of production he put up in Chicago (without the benefit of playing with sniper Dickinson). He’s now averaging less than 10 minutes a game and not winning face offs either. He wasn’t exactly great in the playoffs for Toronto either. Any concerns here? Do we need an upgrade?

From the looks of this thread you could probably trade him back to the Leafs for a first and fans would be celebrating like it was the second coming of Wendel Clark.

I always preferred Engvall over this dude. At least Engvall could provide 15 - 18 goals while being dependable defensively. Lafferty didn't stand out when he was here but he had a few good moments.

he was and always has been a meh 4th liner who's cheap filler until you can find someone better

you wasted a late pick on a dime a dozen player

Soon after the trade, with the Canucks convinced they had royally fleeced us, you make another trade with the Canucks to reduce our scrap heap. They would be convinced they had fleeced us a second time but we would have the last laugh.

Engvall was truly better than Lafferty and a better pure Dubas player. He had the wheels and the hands to actually control the puck, transport at high speed. Laf didn’t have that in the playoff run here.
