This is the risk you take when you play the crap out of your guy.

I feel bad for Monty because he played quite a role to get the Habs to the post season. Hoping for a quick recovery for him.

This should be the last season of overplaying Monty. Between Dobes and maybe Primeau and Fowler, Monty can shoulder less of the load.

He’s done a fantastic job replacing the irreplaceable.

The goalie situation will be very interesting next year. Pretty sure they will have to put Primeau on waiver if they want to keep him in the AHL and some team will definitely pick him up as backup. So there gonna have to trade Dobes or Primeau

I think Primeau gets traded is my guess.

I think if he does it would be at the end of training camp. If he beats Dobes out for the back-up position, running a Fowler/Dobes platoon in the AHL would be great and give both of them development. If Primeau doesn't beat out Dobes, then yes, just trade him rather than lose him on waivers.
