Monty injury isn't great but Thompson looks wrost and even is Lindgren might be a bit more tested I think Dobes could still be better. Dobes his bigger, quicker and better at playing the puck vs. Monty and even Primeau is hot so the situation isn't ideal but not tragic either.

Was just looking at Primeau's numbers with Laval and didn't realize he's won 21 games. Obviously the difference between leagues is huge but is he an option if Montembeault is out for the next game?

Dobes as played pretty well in most game don’t see why you would not go with him but when a have someone that isn’t as tested I prefer having 21win Primeau vs the Primeau that was send back earlier…

I feel bad for Monty because he played quite a role to get the Habs to the post season. Hoping for a quick recovery for him.

Monty probably pulled a hammy, so I doubt he’s back this series. Too bad Hughes is hurt. I’d think he would get called up to backup. I’m thinking Fowler gets recalled. It wouldn’t make sense to call up Primeau to sit on the bench.

Fowler is on an ATO with Laval, so he can't get the callup.

It has to be Primeau.

If Hughes was healthy I would say no way to him being called up. He isn't that good.
Fowler's NHL contract kicks in next season so he can't be called up.

I'm more worried about the other goaltender, his injury looked serious. While Montembeault looked liked he was uncomfortable to continue the game Thompson looked like he needed to go to the hospital.

Hopefully they're both fine, wishing for someone to be injured is just wrong.

Fowler is on an AHL PTO. I also believe he is ineligible to join the Habs until his NHL contract kicks in next season.

That leaves Dobes and Primeau as the Habs' tandem with Fowler carrying the ball in Laval. Unless Conner Hughes is less injured than the team is letting on, it will likely be Luke Cavallin in a backup role. It will be interesting to see whether Primeau will be given the net if he is returned to Laval after Fowler has racked up a few wins.

For those asking, the Canadiens cannot call up Jacob Fowler from Laval.

If Montembeault we're to miss the next game(s), it would be Cayden Primeau to get the call.

Fowler's NHL deal only kicks in as of July 1."
