Speaking of Mikkola, I still don’t see how his collision and shoving with the Utah player that caused the net to be dislodged is worthy a delay of game penalty. Puck was in the zone but the scoring oppo had passed and to be clear Mikkola pushed the Utah player and the Utah player pushed back, but in the end lost and the Utah player’s motion dislodged the net.

Someone like Hedman would never be called for that.
 
Everyone catching up on the idea to move Rodrigues now?
He served his purpose but that 3 mil in space will come on handy for the 2 of the trio of UFAs or all 3.

Mackie is showing he can become a potential top 6 threat, his test will come in the playoffs though.
If he has a similar and consistent development like Lundell, this forward group will continue to gel and Maurice can deploy multiple looks and line combos come Round 1.

We need the Rodrigues and Luostarinens for the POs. They are the ones that makes our depth better than those of other teams and they actually show up in bigtime moments when our stars don't seem to get it done. PoMo loves those guys because they enable him to switch up the lines when he deems it necessary. Same like with Swaggy, we don't have have to care about their regular season performance. They are true PO warriors.

And I am amazed by Marchand. The guy still has so much skill, speed and physically. What an awesome pickup by Zito

I agree we need them this year but next season, we can't afford everyone as well.
Mackie will be cheaper than ERods 3 million so Zito will have to penny pinch anyway he can.

Once Bob's current deal ends and the cap continues to increase, then Zito will have some true wiggle room but even Luostarinen may be on the chopping block too.

I hope ERod goes off in playoffs and magnifies his trade value.
He's needed but not afforded next year in a nut shell.

Could see Erod/Samo/J bo in and out of lineups often, good having that forward depth, wish same said for defense
