At this point blowing it up and going full rebuild has to be Saints only path at this point, right?
Saints have big decisions to make. Carr's guaranteed money has a $10 mill left of guaranteed ($10 mill of his 2025 base salary became fully guaranteed this past March). But, he's due another $70 mill over the next 2 seasons, barring another restructure.

Cameron Jordan is another year older and he's one of the few guys like Cam Heyward still left from that amazing draft from like 2011 with Watt, Julio, Miller, Cam, etc. that is playing well still. To have Payton leave and still kick the can of dead cap down the road after 3 seasons with no PO, is kind of the worst outcome possible over these 3 seasons.

Cam Jordan's base salary is like $1.2 mill this season, so his a $60K per game cap charge. He has $1.5 mill of his 2025 base salary guaranteed, which is minimal and it's $12.5 mill currently due to him.

Saints should look at moving him.

Realistically he should have been fired at the end of last season when it was obvious the team didn't care what he had to say on that last play against Atlanta.

But better late than never i suppose.

Stat-wise, he was bad last year and perhaps even worse now. That said, I might take a flyer on him.

As for Allen, he is the fall guy for that team being in cap hell. In a mediocre division.

Me getting banned from Reddit while arguing with Raiders fans on there whom defended Derek Carr after that 2-0 start, I say f*** em.
9 clubs at just 2 wins through week 9.
Starting QBS:
NO - Carr (Injured for like 3 games), Mia (Tua) injured for half the season, Jax - Lawrence, Cle - Watson, Ten - Levis, Car, Young, LV Minschew, NYG Jones, NE Brisset then Maye,

Most veteran is Carr but again, injury, but still has to beat Carolina and Young coming off injury.
Tua/Lawrence expected more out of these high first rounders.
Watson clearly not the same as he once was and coming obvious that Houston really had to adjust their scheme for his limited understanding.
Car, Ten, NE have young guys, so not surprising.

Then, LV and NYG, have guys who have shown enough what they are in Jones and Minschew. Not good enough to carry an average team to the PO.

And this QB, maybe has 2 legit starting prospects to solve that problem for these teams above. I'm not sold on Ewers being much more than Nix.

Jets and Cowboys have 3 wins. Jets, ARod is down to his final year or two. Dak, is what he is but still getting paid. He's a 2nd tier QB in the 9-16 range. Needs more of a supporting cast, but paid too much to afford that.

Stat-wise he was great last year. You just know when the chips are down, he won’t make those plays.

Carr holds a full no trade. Has $10 mill guaranteed for 2025 in a roster bonus. $30 mill on base salary. So due $40 mill in 2025. If he was cut what is his worth on the open market given that the likes of Lawrence, Tua, Love all got monster second contracts?

He’d get a 1 or 2 year deal for not much, similar to Russell Wilson

HF is amazingly much more lenient than Reddit and I like it. You can get banned on reddit without warning for anything. Sad.

I can't even talk football there anymore.
