Probably could have justified more.. turns out he shot a minimum 3 into the crowd

Ya saw that after. They showed all 3 on the Petes broadcast cast last night, part of the OHL Round Table segment. Go figure with Terry Doyle putting that together.
Not sure 1 was enough now but never seen that done before so no idea what is right in this circumstance. Be safe.

He received 1 game which is fair. No argument here but we should look at repeat offenders whose intent is to hurt someone. Before Parekh is brought up the kid has tremendous skill but is unpredictable and a cement head. Many others around the league that are repeat offenders that aren’t on Saginaw.
Parekh called up to WJC let’s see how he does if he makes the team.
Either way DD has some decisions to be made over the next month. We have been playing undisciplined hockey and it has cost us. Our lineup needs some guys back in the lineup and we have done nothing to improve the team up to now.

Its just so hard to gauge this team and what to do with them. Before the slew of suspensions/injuries/illness we were doing alright. Hit rough patch here...or is this closer to what we actually are? Hard to say. Although I'm coming around to soft selling and just riding it out as a 4 or 5 seed.

I have to agree, unless we see Drinkill up to his tricks pulling a rabbit out of his hat or something. Open Import card maybe Patterson gets sent here to develop not doing well as of now.
Parekh Hay Mangone if the price is right. Get some 07 08s picks for this and next years team. I’d pick up a top2 D still and have a good run if the cards are right as you mentioned we did look good until the shit storm. If we can get some mojo back and need a surprise guy like Cloutier or Harmer to break out. With Parekh traded we can still have a good year picking up some Defensive D to compliment our Offense and still have picks and prospects.

I said this on the Spirit site. I would move him or not based on how he performs at the upcoming WJ tournament. After two years of can't miss play, his marketability may have gone down based on a slow start ( for him ) times of disinterest and typical cheap play. If the later keeps up, move him now and get what Finster suggested. I'd hate to think of the possibility of him morphing into Ryan Merkley.

What I would really like is to see him play with Chenysov in the lineup... but we need another quality defenceman and a proven backup goalie if we intend to sneak deep into the playoffs. Where they will come from...Santa????

Misa will get drafted and signed and become ineligible long before he goes to the NCAA.
Maybe but the NCAA would be a better league for him next year rather than coming back and putting up 2.5ppg against 16-21 year olds he should go play with some older and more mature guys for a year then make his mark in the NHL since the AHL at 18 isn’t an option.

I don’t like seeing good talent leave the O’ but I’d say the same thing if it was wright- it is better for their development. This doesn’t apply to everyone either just probably a handful of players each year.

Boston University is also an amazing program.

If he signs a pro deal with an NHL team he is not eligible to play in the NCAA.

he's probably making the show. it's not going to matter.

He’s not making the show next year. needs another year.

Not even sure if martone does and he has the size for it.

Hagens is definitely making it though and a guy like Roger McQueen MAY make it because of his size but I think he would be better off staying healthy and working on his game for 1 more year.

Schaefer obviously isn’t playing next year but that’s not to say he can’t be the best one of them all.

Why does he need another year? What part of his game is going to hold him back?

Well aware.

And if an nhl team wants him playing NCAA against older competition still in North America since the AHL isn’t going to happen then they’ll explain this to him and he goes and plays for Boston university.

Still a long way until the draft but he has nothing to gain playing the OHL next year- he is already a top 5 maybe top 3 player in the league this year at 17 and his point production and goal production has really taken off compared to previous years.

Bulking up in particular, could work on defensive game more- he’s good but not great, speed is good but can always work on that ask McDavid how much he trains that. Has an NHL shot though for sure. Also depends on what team drafts him and where they slot him in. Playing in the NCAA and winning a championship at Boston university and a hobey baker would be a lot better than playing some 16-21 year olds who we already know he can dominate as proven so far this year.

1 more year before NHL wouldn’t hurt him it would only prepare him more.

Every 17 year old can use come bulk but he's not small. Already a decent frame on him. Another offseason should get him to 6' 1" and 190ish. Already one of the better two way forwards in the league. Plenty fast. Not everyone needs to be McDavid quick.

Multiple reporters have come out & said it's BS/not happening fyi.

Think it's pretty clear some NCAA teams have really been trying to use the rumor mill. With Misa being a potential top 3-5 pick I don't think he'd be making this type of decision before getting input from whatever NHL team takes him.
