What about Kane + a pick for Coyle + Marco Scandella or would we have to add more?

Wild politely decline. Then demand a bucket of Duff's wings (medium) as compensation for fielding the call.

it is too often injured. and he's a moron which will be a lot of problems. on pomminvill could still be exchanged and you can add something as a small peak. something better, I would not have given him due to problems with the ceiling

Kane for Brodin/Scandella with a very minor +/- is about as close a deal there is between these teams. If Minny has moved on from this idea then I would hope for a Hutton deal with Vancouver or a Ryan Murray deal with Columbus.

Absolutely not. We have 0 need for a left winger. Let alone Brodin and Scandella have better contracts. Brodin is younger. Also take into account that Kane is injured a lot and he has off ice problems. Kane might even have negative value to us. Let alone Brodin and Scandella hold a lot of value.

I would highly suspect these "talks" were basically, we'll take your problem child winger if you take our overpaid winger (Pominville). And then it went no where.

Here is the logical flae...buffalo will not take back forwards with high contract commitments beyond 2018.

If I was Wild I wouldn't trade for E. Kane would rather lose a defenseman to expansion then trade one defenseman for E. Kane.

Why would you want to lose a defenceman to expansion first, only to trade a D for Kane later? Wouldn't it be better to do the trade before, so you don't have to lose 2 defencemen?

Or did you mean "than"?

My mind immediately went to Pomminville for Kane straight up as well.

Are we expecting more for a guy with a 1:1 arrest to 30 goal season ratio, who has played less than 80% of available games in a career that would have seen him run out of his 2nd city before his 25th birthday?

I love these locker room cancer posts

Evander is like most athletes, some guys in the room love the guy and some aren't friends but because Dustin Buff had a problem with the guy, he's a cancer.

Away from the arena is where the issues come in, not inside it.

It was Wheeler & Ladd that Kane said he wanted to fight. There was a lot of talk around town that Wheeler punched him out in a bar.

How is it a logical flaw? It doesn't hurt to inquire/talk, so it is not illogical for them to talk or for the Wild to suggest such a deal. It makes a great deal of sense for the Wild to suggest that option actually.

Uh...this thread and my post is based on your reporters story. I'm starting with that. Buffalo needs a LHD, and Minny has been reported as wanting a top six FW. My post follows the most obvious logic from there. "Absolutely not"?? Whatever.

Buffalo...TM...isn't looking for another FW. They need a top four Dman and anything else is a useless discussion. TM has also already said he's not trading for players that won't be part of a long term Cup winning plan.

That post about Zucker being added is equally off base. Minny would be dumb to trade him in a deal for Kane. Like I said, if they talked it's about Kane for Brodin or Scandella. Nothing else makes any sense.
