Yup.

We play that way, we win far far far far more often that we lose.

Tonight, we lost. It happens.

They still played fantastically.

If they can play like that most nights were a playoff team.

Do have to crash the net more, but there was a lot of good
 
Wasn’t even a case of having to sacrifice offense to play a defensive system. All they had was chances. All night. More than maybe any game this year.

What can you do?

You have to go try to play the same game another 50+ times

No problems with the effort...but man, that game was there for them if they could just get some finish. And when Boston picks up a point in an inevitable 3 point game against the Islanders, they'll technically be out of a playoff spot on Thanksgiving yet again (albeit with games in hand).

Get back to streaking on Friday though and it's all good.

Really good game and ran into a hot goalie but didn't see many rebound chances and the opps were there. Think we missed Greener tonight.

Oh well, we were the better team against one of the best teams in the league. No shame.

They never really challenged Gustavsson, they need to goto the net more, they are also in too deep often when they are in front of the net. No one is playing the middle of the ice.

Hate to say it but they need to play smarter to win more often. Any goalie can make the saves Gustavsson made when he can see the entire ice.

I'd say another mistake was to have Cozens line matched up against Kaprizov's line all night and not switching it up. They got absolutely pumped.

The team is playing more disciplined as the season goes on. Pretty happy about that. It seems like Ruff's system is taking hold.

Start a new streak on Friday.
 
Could be worse. We could have blown a 4-2 lead to lose in regulation like *checks notes* Rochester.

Yeah, I thought that was a curious decision by Ruff to not have a different line against Kaprizov. Granted, all 3 of those guys are above-average defensively.......but that line just didn't look like it gelled much at all while playing against a top duo.
