For 90% of the game the "compete" level is there. They take the body, fight for pucks and whatnot.

But that same underlying BS is still there. The lack of accurate shooting, the silly passing decisions, and the turn off brain defensive lapses.

I can see what Ruff is trying to do. But I'm also seeing that it really just might be the players, they're coming off as pretty overrated. Are these guys really that talented??

Actually i did see a graphic that Ruff started his first tenure in Buffalo 7-15-3 before they turned it around and made the playoffs in 1998.

It's a long season. It's just this team is not in an easy division where they can not have bad stretches and still coast through.

Easiest call in the world when the guy has to drop the twig you just chopped in half in front of the ref. Could have been a point, maybe two. Dumb mistakes stack up quick.
