I feel like we've been better than the Islanders for 3 seasons now, but the Isle still manage to squeeze more points out of every season than us. Also doesn't help that in head to head match ups they've gotten some ridiculously over the top help from the officials.

They're old, slow and unskilled. They turn every game into a clutch and grab grindfest with the intention of making it to overtime. Don't let them get away with it.
It's part of the league now but they just find a way to get the loser point so often. Drives me nuts but I wish we could do the same.

The Islanders have played 10 games. They've gotten shutout in 4 and have 22 goals in the other 6 (IE, 3.75 GPG).

Feast or famine team.....that has ONE regulation win this season.......and they're going to be without their best offensive player.

No reason whatsoever to not get at least 1 point tonight.

So we ALL know what's happening -- we're getting creamed 6-0
Nah, we lose 3-1 with 45 shots and the gwg is kicked in. This is the Buffalo way.

Not a fan of 2 weeks between starts for Levi. I feel like the handling of goaltenders was an issue in Ruff's first tenure. He'd ride Miller into the ground and then the backup would suck because he hadn't played in 2 or 3 weeks.

Don't like it either, but KA has produced a situation that isn't good for either goalie and no way for Ruff to make it better.

It's not Ruff's fault Levi is here instead of in Rochester. That's on KA for not having an NHL back up.

There is a sizeable chance he voiced his opinion on the matter. This roster has Lindy's fingerprints all over it. We've seen in the past that Adams would listen to Granato's input on roster moves.

Barzal is injured so the task "should" be easier

To me this game will speaks volumes moving forward. Islanders always give the Sabres problems. It's time to skate over this geriatric squad. Let's see if they can win.

Win tonight and get back into the playoff hunt. Lose tonight and flirt with being at the bottom of the conference. It's as simple as that.

I would believe he was involved in the Reimer waiver situation, but Adam's hasn't really done much to bring someone in so they can get Levi games in Roch. I also think they aren't 100% on UPL yet, despite having to pay him, and they think there's a chance Levi may push in this year. The problem is UPL has been good enough to get the starter tag, but he hasn't left Levi in the dust, so Ruff continues trying to get one going, and that's UPL.

Hope Levi looks elite tonight.

Big game tonight!

The new anthem singer does a nice job. Beautiful voice and doesn't take 20 minutes to get through them. I appreciate that.
