Montreal is desperate to get back into the win column, the Sabres are playing status quo. Montreal was leaving it all on the ice and they came out 1-1. That's gotta be disheartening since the Sabres didn't look like they were giving it their all and they didn't look overly overmatched. Puck bounces really went the way for Montreal because the Sabres weren't often out of place and the puck couldn't find their sticks. If the Sabers come out the same in the 2nd and the Sabres are still playing down to Montreal then that's a problem Ruff needs to beat out of them and give them perspective that they haven't earned anything yet.
