It NEVER looked this bad with Granato. People will hate to admit this.

Thats what I said the last couple of games. I expected more structure, more of a system out of Lindy and its actually worse.

Granato turned the team into a developmental team and just let them play. For every dumb decision, they made an elite physical play.

Granato got the team moving in the right direction but when he tried to get the Sabres to play a normal team structure, you got last year.

I mean, even in a "structure" they still let up 5 a game, mine as well let them play street hockey

To be fair Lindy has a downgraded team compared to Granato.

But let’s get back to hockey IQ. Show me a team that won anything with the number of dumb players playing significant roles, like the Sabres do now.

You could get prime Bowman and he couldn’t get this group on track. They need to move on from players and commit to a high IQ high effort bunch.

Adams can start with Peterka, Thompson, and Power. And I know Peterka just scored.

I have no interest in defending Ruff. But when you see the dumb puck decisions made every night by Power, Thompson, Peterka, Krebs, etc….. what can he do? He can bench all of them. He can’t over structure them into oblivion.

Ruff made the public comment about hockey IQ for Thompson and Cozens as centers. That was a huge hint he dropped for all us fans.

They had no heart under Granato either. It's an ill-fitted collection of mentally and physically soft players. No coach is perfect or beyond criticism, but let's be honest, this roster is so fundamentally flawed that it's practically uncoachable.
