At least they didn't let the one bad game Monday snowball into a streak. Now they gotta turn this into a winning streak Saturday night.
Nope. Considering the growth in team value, the hundreds of millions of free dollars from expansion, the league (and Bettman) are operating exactly how the owners want.
Can't believe Toronto didn't get a star for that performance.
we've definitely found great alternative line combos that really work
He had a real nice save near the end of the OT pp to keep the puck in. At least i think that was him....and he didn't even fall down.At the risk of displaying my insanity I liked Quinn’s end to the game
gets lindy and staff the first starI liked that them burning the last 55 or so seconds was not just smart, but it mattered. If St. Louis has any stones and challenges the puck carrier, the OT likely isn't long enough for us to score in OT. We played smart and were rewarded for it.
Yeah, agreed. Plus if the Blues push too much there.........there's a huge risk of Buffalo going odd-man the other way and ending it in regulation. The announcers kept saying they would have pressured the puck to try and make sure they didn’t have the full two minutes of PP time in OT.
Am I the only one who wouldn’t have? There is virtually zero chance I’m winning in regulation. And a higher than zero chance they score on the PP in regulation if there’s nearly a minute of it. Then I get zero points. Yes…they’re more likely to score the more PP time they have in OT….but the only thing I can control is that first point. I’m not risking it to shave some time off the OT man advantage. I need to get to OT for that to matter. And they give me a free point for doing it.

never have seen that before great chess both teams not a divisional game blues were lucky to tie w all the bounces n nyThe announcers kept saying they would have pressured the puck to try and make sure they didn’t have the full two minutes of PP time in OT.

We broke the 3 win 3 L streak. Now please start a streak right here and get above .500 plus stay there.
Right, I felt like everyone wanted to get to OT anyway. And then they took the penalty….but I’m not changing my position on the getting to OT part because they’re more likely to win in OT now. Because they’re also much more likely to win in regulation now if I touch the puck. They’re getting two minutes either way…I’d rather be handed a point while they get it than risk getting nothing.Yeah, agreed. Once that arm went up, both sides had ample reason to just send it into OT right there.

I thought the first period was really good. Things got kind of sloppy after that. If this was Levi’s audition to stay up with the big club I think he failed. Probably time to send him down to the Amerks for some more seasoning (whenever UPL is ready to go).
One more top 4D is missing.Power with 23:00 minutes, Dahlin with 27:31 and Byram with 27:35. Byram had 10:47 in the third period alone, Dahlin 10:33 in the third and then the entire OT PP.
This reminds me a bit of the Big Three in Montreal.
