Stop bashing Cozens because of the Mitts trade. It has nothing to do with Cozens. Adams f'd up plain and simple by trading Mitts and targeting a redundant piece. So annoying.

I'm not certain that's true at all as far as redundant as the team learns to play to our strength of d carrying puck into zone

Casey M 16 pts minus 15 ( leads the avs ) 8 hits 12 blk 19min a night

Bowen B 14 pts plus 8 20 hits 24 blk
22 min a night


I like byrum plus minus and at worst it's a wash for McLeod who I'd rather have than Casey as far as will and battles but it's close


I agree cozens will be just fine barring setbacks by mid season

It is not a knock on Byrum.. I happen to like him... but it doesn't change the fact that Adams made us significantly worse down the middle by acquiring something we already had in spades.

We could of easily had Mitts as our "2nd" line center with Dylan on wing right now... and when Tage gets hurt you slide Mitts up to 1st line Dylan back to center..but now we have to move Krebs up or play a 20 yr old in middle.

I would of Adams target "less flashy" names to play in top 4 and our penalty kill instead.

Seems like that is a result of bad goaltending.
