From existence till 2011/12 season they had been a very good team. I think top 5 or top7 in league but had not won a cup. Its just been this playoff drought.

as I mentioned in som ef of their oddities this year....

Their poor PP and falling short with 1 goal deficits in the 3rd at over 75% of their L and OT/SH L games tells me confidence us a dangerous thing.

They font need much changes pi r additions and young players playing better

They need

1. a RD who shoots right who can play mid pair

2. A 2nd line center who is good defensively and can do well in faceoffs


Neither of these players ste at the end if their career

Some sabres fans want to blow the young prospect & players on bottom 6/ bottom pair players or players at the end of their careers who might be better than the young player now but not so in 2-3 years just so they end the playoff drought. Some of the sane people go back and complain on the trades tim Murray made in 2014/2015 where he traded prospects and picks for more established players

A big debate is how much control/ oversight is Pegula having on the Sabres vs what appears as hands off with the Bills

I dont doubt that Terry initially said spend to the cap when took over but saw how badly that failed with Ville Leino type deals. But the only way you get rid of Terry is if he sells and the team relocates. No one is buying it and investing in Buffalo more.

If you really believe this team is 2 second line players away from contention, then youre lumped into the delusional Sabres fan category. You're last in the East and currently 29th in the league. Blow it up.

Phonetically missed the "G" the first time I saw this -- and while a *ahem* fleeting thought *ahem* I had to re-read it to make sure what I was seeing.

He hasn't yet shown that he can without a good deal of luck (at least from how he's hired for both the Sabres and Bills). The Bills management team is the blind acorn for them. I don't see that happening on the hockey side so here we are, wondering how long this goes on.

With NHL expansion interest rapidly increasing to Houston, Kansas City, Atlanta, New Orleans, etc etc etc why in the world would any owner sans a Buffalo billionaire magically showing up, keep the team there? Hamilton is the best chance they have.

Buffalo is constantly at the top of players no trade lists and obviously they cannot draw any free agents outside of overpaying the c list guys.

The same team would print $1000 bills in any other city assuming good and you wouldnt have the disadvantages of taxes and weather.

Not true at all. Its also proven to be a poor market in general. Look at the Bills stadium. It defaulted back to OP because the city of Buffalo doesnt not have the amenities (Hotels, restaurants) to host a Super Bowl. Same can be said on a smaller scale for an NHL all-star game or 4 nations or world cup or whatever. You take the franchise to Houston and it blows up quickly with much more options.

You guys are looking at this in terms of finding 18k hockey fans to come nightly between Buffalo and Toronto. Its much bigger than that for billionaires.

If you put a team this bad for this long in those or almost any city they'd be drawing smaller crowds than the Danville Dashers. The fact that more than 5k show up for games is stunning.
