This one nearly gave me another stroke.

Welcome Levi!

ps FU Friedman!

So.. do they put him in right away, or do they wait to see if they drop out of the playoff picture. If they are going to be in it until the end, they probably need to give him a start ASAP. Don't want to throw him in a must win last game with the playoffs on the line.

It's a relief. I didn't think Devin would do a Peterson, or Portillo. But there's always that chance these days. If Devin had announced he'd return to college another year, I would have been hyperventilating.

Still, he's a prospect, not a sure thing. Buffalo still needs to address goal tending for the next 2 years. And not pull another Comrie Style, "lets see" type deal.

I Heart Anderson; but he's on his last legs. UPL is sketchy at times. Comrie is failing to impress.
He's a wild card and wild cards make people nervous. Too unpredictable! I'm glad he's signed and hope he remains predictable in only one way: stopping pucks.

Play him as the back up a few nights and if the score gets out of hand (either way) give him some action

They probably want him to get some practices in first.

Any chance they try riding him into the playoffs? Is that crazier than hoping Comrienor UPL find their games?

Riding him? I really don't think we ride him. I think we give him a game or two....and if he looks good MAYBE a bit more.....but I fully anticipate UPL and Andy to have more starts than Levi the rest of the season.

YES! Out skiing all day so just seeing this news now, but this is awesome. Not much more to say other than I hope we see him in Buffalo soon.

1) He'll be in the AHL next year regardless of when his ELC starts.
2) He's already played an entire season of college hockey. The idea that he'll step in and immediately take over a full workload in Rochester, where the schedule is far more intense than the NCAA schedule, does not sound especially patient, and also sounds like a way to wear himself out.
34 games in college and he can't handle more?
