Sometimes when the Sabres win these types of games I sometimes get caught thinking "not a pretty win" or "we were lucky to win" - almost as a defensive mechanism not to get excited.

But honestly I just think that is where the league is at. I watch a lot of Leafs games and I can say that much of their wins over the past 8 plus years have been tight or hairy. I have seen a lot of Tampa games where their goalie bailed them out. Each team has an amount of skill where in certain portions of the game that they can take over, even the worst of teams.

I think it does say something about this team that we keep fighting back. Even in some of our losses like against the scumbag Canadians, we came back enough to win but blew it. Every game I am finding new things that seem different this year than the past nonsense we have dealt with that makes me hopeful that we will have playoffs to watch this year.

Awesome f***ing trip. 4-1 without Tage, sweeping Cali. Finding ways to win when you don’t have your best game, when you’re tired and the other guys are juiced for Jumbo’s retirement. Guys stepping up for guys who are out.

Awesome. Awesome job.

Wednesday night is going to be f***ing rocking at The Key in the goatheads on Thanksgiving Eve.

Knowing Buffalo, Wednesday night is going to be people f***ing rocked. WNY's biggest bar night of the year and a Sabres home game? Rocked.

Glad my original post of the Sabres being gassed didn't get published.

Something good kicked in 3rd period and they looked like a different team.

Reimer with the behind the back glove catch was highlite reel worthy.

Well said. These are the types of games I feel like we lose in the past. Baby steps, but I’m encouraged.

Oh, and Kulich looks good. Krebs good. Cozens good. Byram has quietly been what we woulda hoped for. Benson. Lotta good, ignore that 2nd! Thanks Reimer.

These guys deserve it and the crowd deserves to see a big fan win too. Let’s make it 4.

Kaprisov didn’t play today, not hoping for an injury but hoping Minnesota is very careful and takes their time bringing him back!

Feels pretty good that we can hopefully have one our 3 premier defenseman go off in any game and it will make a difference.
Dahlin now 5th in overall scoring by defensemen, and of course 5-on-5 we see...

This feels like something that is both completely impossible yet incredibly easy to understand why that is.

Every penalty he takes comes at the worst time you’ve ever seen someone take a penalty so you never forget you saw it.

Every penalty he draws just puts our PP out there which by definition is the least memorable event in the world.

True - but you could tell they were really tired for much of that game - which makes the win even better, IMO

Rewatching earlier parts of the game, thinking that maybe Bryson is the next defenseman who gets a night off.
yep - I would

EDIT: The numbers don't lie
