Flight time to San Jose is less than 1-1/2 hours. Let's not be setting up the "travel time" excuse. This is routine in the NHL.

Nobody on the team will be complaining.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say big game from Quinn, last game he was starting to look more like his old self... He just looks like a kid who is devoid of confidence, still have so much belief in the player I know he will become.

Maybe it’s just me but this team feels right and good all the sudden.

Kulich and Zucker seems to have lifted his game

10pm was too late, I fell asleep during the first period, missed the goal against completely but was awake for half the second and third and then couldn't get back to sleep. Those late games are wild for my sleeping patterns, 8pm is much more manageable.

I couldnt imagine following a team on the Westcoast living on the Eastcoast. Also living on the Westcoast would be awesome for sports since most Sabres games would start at 4pm right after work and you would be in bed by 8pm to be up for 5am.
9 hour of sleep a night?! You livin' the dream.

It’ll be Cozens.
Makes you wonder how much say Appert has over it. No one in the world knows what a weapon Kulich is on the PP more than Seth Appert. He owes a lot to what he did there in Rochester. And that shot is more than NHL level. Especially with Tage having been out of the lineup…feels like the time was right there.

The other side of that is that they’ve been scoring almost every night on one power play. So it has covered the fact that the unit itself looks terrible most of the time. If it wasn’t managing to produce maybe they’d have tried it

It does seem like the second group has a lot better handling and deception. It would be the most Sabres thing ever to have a guy be key to a win, tipping the ice all night in their favor and then winning an OT and have him be the scratch the next game.

Wonder if he keeps that Kulich line together.

Oh look. 4 centers, without Tage in the lineup, and Cozens is on the wing.

Like most veteran coaches, Lindy can get stuck in his thinking, but maybe he's come to a conclusion about Cozens.

To those complaining about Cozens being our favorite whipping boy, I say that we all want him to be a solid contributor. Most of us believe he can. Many of us think playing on the wing affords him the best opportunity to do that.

Beyond the Wall
Is anyone else caught in this weird spot where you feel optimistic for a bit but than catch yourself and you are like "nope nope, get those thoughts outta here" because you are still scarred from every other time you started to get optimistic and then they immediately laid an egg? God I hope this shit doesn't go like 5-1 SJ.

I feel like I am constantly sitting here waiting for the other shoe to drop.
