Goaltending has been big. Feels like Luukkonen did his best work when down a man tonight. It made things seem a lot more in control which is pleasantly different.

UPL was fantastic tonight. He stumbled a little out of the gate this season, but it looks like he’s rounding into form.

it doesn't reward a team if possession is kept outside or weighted w a large lead for significance .

do they separate stats per period I'd aquiesse more w game tight in first period but I felt we dominated that game emotionally

xG rewards a team for keep possession to the outside. They have options to correct for score. It can be separated by period.

As I said before, analytics and metrics don't give the whole picture. Jokiharju doesn't have chemistry with Dahlin and Power, and Rasmus is more comfortable playing on RD (he said it himself). Bryson is great, he's taking advantage of his chance, and Gilbert and Clifton look like a solid third pair right now.
