Bad period. I'll be worried if the second looks similar.

On the other hand, Brass looks like he's having a field day with this defense. Just wheeling and dealing without any challenge.

Right.

He's a solid #2/3 defenseman. He's getting paid like one, too. To sit there and say he's a product of his partner is hysterical. He was a good defenseman before McDonagh was even in the league.

And he was paired with Staal. I don't think he's bad. I think G is overrated and benefits a lot from his all star partners.

Bad period. Way too easy on an AHL goaltender. Lundqvist shouldn't be our best player against the Sabres.

There's a huge difference in what you're saying now then what I called you out on saying (i.e. he's a product of his partner).

I meant more along the lines of he's a 2nd pairing guy when not with McD or *healthy* Staal. When he was with McDonagh, they both dominated and he played like a #1.

1st period at MSG is always an issue. Richards on the PP is really not working. Him scoring 2 PPG's against Carolina was the worst that could happen to this team.

We will pick it up in the 2nd period. I am still confident we win this easily. 4-1 or something

Brassgod line has gotten pretty close a few times, and only a couple inches away from the stick on the PP shot.. Other than that, lol this period, bad bad bad

Well, that's fair. Like I said, that's HUGELY different than saying he's a product of his partner.

Rob Brown was a product of Mario Lemieux. Girardi is good with or without McD / Staal. He's just great with McD. But I think that you also have to take into account he's playing with a mental midget in Moore right now, too.

That's true Moore can be a disaster. I just feel like McD has made a few mistakes that's have been really obvious because he has Moore trying to cover for him instead of McD.

Not a great intensity level would be my biggest criticism. Not unexpected given the circumstances.
