Friedman: Sabres gauging the market on Byram

Since I am to lazy to go through 20 pages, what would the asking price be for Byram?
posters want rhd to pair with power and/or middle 6 center with more offense than mcleod, more defense than tage, healthier than norris & more experienced than kulich. they don't seem to want picks, prospects, wingers or lhd.

Would Buffalo have any interest in Spence from the Kings, as the start to a package for Byram? Would they rather ice a big body right shot banger instead of a smaller two way guy? If Buffalo is looking for a middle six left-winger with some speed and shorthanded savvy we could throw Trevor Moore in on the deal if you’re looking for hockey trades instead of picks. He is a decent player, but LA needs to bring in some right shot forwards. I’ve just always been curious to see how a Power, Spence pairing would work.

If Spence isn’t Buffalos cup of tea we have the 24th overall pick in this draft. I was led to believe that Buffalo would be looking for hockey trades instead of for draft picks, but they could use the first round pick to make another hockey trade. Not sure if a Moore or a Turcotte is of any interest.

Buffalo seems to constantly be rebuilding, but would a center like Danault offer any stabilization to you? He is older but still doing a great job on the third line and is two a presence. I am just under the belief that if the kings are going for it, they should drop Kopitar to the third line let byfield have the second line, and bringing a guy like Barzal. Doing this would make Danault expendable. Not quite sure what Buffalo was looking for, but just trying to give all different type of options.

not has the piece for byram. I think spence is a bottom pair RD who can't plsy 2nf pair time.

buffalo has no need for Moore

Buffalo isnt interested in picks in this draft.

With buffalo RFAs.....if they sign them all they will be tight on cap space.

Buffalo could be interested in damault sincr he has short term at 2 yrs left. I dont see LA moving him

How do you plan on getting barzal?

Right handed top 4 defenseman that is a team leader and warrior. Is also a great PKer and solid at defending in his own zone. Also making 4.55M. Sure there are probably better fits but good luck getting them, teams generally don't give away the type of player you are looking for.

Nobody is arguing that Dahlin plays RD. He's not right handed though. Buffalo factually has zero top 4 right handed defensemen.
Factually this is meh

Danault would absolutely be on my radar but its convoluted from there. I wouldn't do Byram straight across for him. Spence as the add I guess but I''m not really interested in him. Clarke sure....but then we add a lot. Cap is tough for us sadly. We could offer Sammy back to get some cap relief but that wont move the needle towards Clarke. Not going as far as #9 in this one personally. I have a hard time finding a middle ground that works for you guys without sounding like a homer offer

Danault+Spence for Byram+Greenway. Small adds on both sides if needed.

I like Danault, but he's not enough of an upgrade at C for a team that has Norris/Thompson/McLeod/Kulich already at C. I could be interested, but not for Byram.

Spence is also a guy I like, but he's not what we need, hence why Byram is available in the first place.

The guys I'd be interested in from LAK would be Byfield, Anderson. If those guys aren't available, I get it, but that's what we're looking for. Youngish 2 way centers and competent top 4D with size and ability to defend, preferably righties, but a lefty could work too.
