Friedman: Sabres gauging the market on Byram

Andersson has expressed a lot of interest in staying in Calgary but they are quite far apart on negotiations from whats been reported. I don't think the Buffalo weather would be a big deterrent for him considering how bad Calgary can get in the winter. I think if they are willing to pay him he would probably be willing to sign there.
They aren’t allowed to talk contract yet so I’m not sure where your getting the far apart on negotiations.

Leafs should be interested. But I think Sabres fans will be disappointed with his eventual return given he returned Middlestat and then hasn't exactly done anything in Buffalo
Just because he was traded for Middlestat has nothing to do with Byrams value.

I'd say the Sabres clearly won that deal, but Byram wants a bigger role because he is stuck behind Dahlin.

if they need to match an offer sheet it will be 7M, Cuylle will get at least 6.5M like Coronato got
You still haven't answered my question. The Rangers will be moving salary regardless, almost definitely in a type of package I proposed. They will be able to afford Cuylle & Byram. Money is not an issue just because HF "experts" say it will be.

Kreider/Panarin/Miller/Schneider/Lafreniere
What do YOU want with the 12th?

Alexis Lafreniere

For

Bowen Byram
I don’t think laf is good enough. He has shown glimpses, but a winger who makes over 7M and doesn’t put up 60+ points even with favorable zone starts…

Byram for cuylle is a fairer offer. Byram is a legit top 4 D with more potential and Cuylle is a legit second line PWF with upside. Byram is slightly older.
