If you want to believe that Adams is actually working the phones…how does he think continuing to haggle over prices is going to work out for him. The longer the season goes the more pressure he is under and whoever he is talking to knows that. It’s why you are supposed to do your f***ing job in the off-season…not realize ten games in you were wrong again and everyone else was right again and you put word out to everyone that you are working SOOO hard on adding to the team.

The problem I have believing any of the hot seat talk is that

A: he doesn’t do his job like anything matters. That doesn’t have to mean anything. People forget that Tim Murray did f***ing nothing his entire last year here and then was shown the door. Then again…he, like Botterill, wasn’t fired for failure…he was fired because Pegula felt out of the loop. Which…again points to Adams is not in trouble. All he brings to the table is keeping Terry in the loop.

B: It could so easily just be reporters looking at our situation and saying “well…no one gets a sixth year after these five failures” because they are using logic and common sense. Two things that have nothing to do with Sabres hockey under Terry Pegula.

Friedman has said a few times that people in Buffalo know there will be major changes if they fail again.
