The NHL is a wonky place and loves it's retreads.

If anything the last couple of years proved that the veteran guys can still coach (Laviolette, Deboer, Cassidy, Maurice) etc...

Eh, it's not like he's Treliving at the deadline or something. He did very little this deadline except sell a couple of expiring contracts to playoff teams. It's not like he's hamfisting trades (yet). But there is likely time for him to do that this summer.
