This is rather surprising, given that the team f***ing sucked despite having a decent roster, so many high draft picks, and a record number of years without playoffs. Should they have been fired? Yes. Why weren’t they? Because Terry is a cheap bastard man. Discuss.

Seriously, the pp and pk were so f***ing bad, you can’t tell me this is a pro coaching staff. Money isn’t being spent on basic billionaire shit, it’s a problem. The NHL has a derelict owner.

Kevyn Adams is just following the very strict guidelines that Pegula has set down for him. Expect another free agency period where they don't make an effort to sign anyone.

Honestly, unless they do trades, they actually might legitimately be at the actual cap ceiling rather than just the internal one this off season.

Why would they fire Adams? Having a new gm or coach search would be an unneeded expense for Pegula. He has no interest in spending unnecessary money on the team

A Sabres fan told me that when they hired Ruff, he couldn't bring in his own coaching staff and had to stick with the guys they already had.

I'm too lazy to look that up as I eat some cinnamon bread before work, but if anyone can confirm or deny that for me, I thank you in advance.

Pegula allows his wife to run all aspects of the team! Adam’s and Ruff are just behind the scenes decoration

It's true. The only assistant changes from Granato were Ellis moving off the bench upstairs to the booth and Appert being promoted from HC in Rochester to that spot. He inherited everyone else - it was the cheap move and that's Adams under Pegula. Cheap as f***.

I believe there is still outstanding discussion to move Adams to a different role in the org and hire a new GM

Though that may look very similar to what the Kraken did yesterday without the internal promotion going to someone who has previous GM experience. We'll see.
