Value of: Sabres Deck Shuffle

Sabres are too young, with too many players that we have to hope develop further. There needs to be a shakeup in Buffalo. What Hockey trades or established players for assets are you willing to do? There is a lot of smoke at the deadline here.

Cozens and Byram are the main two I am looking to move. We need a real top 6 C and a top 4 defenseman that plays defense. Outside of Thompson and Dahlin, I don't think anyone is untouchable.
Move two LHD in exchange for two RHD. Keep Cozens.

Pens would be interested in both Cozens and Byram, so would a lot of teams, but any move there sets BUF back, not forward. NYR 1st would be in play, any of our meager prospect pool, but there really aren't young roster players on the Pens worth swapping.

Pens have nothing of interest. I wouldn't trade them for Crosby
They’ve got such a stacked prospect pool if they were to offload some young talent to change up the leadership group would br no big loss.
Nit the same wing dollars fit pennies in return

Yeah, Cozens doesn't have that kind of value if Petey doesn't have any value. Tuch would be the centerpiece for us, not Cozens. Maybe next trade, boss.
The difference in production and contract cost kind of evens that playing field. Bust for 7 or 11.5. Cozens Rosen 2nd is great value for a 40 point player making 11.5m who hates his current situation.

Who says he hates his current situation?

And yeah, he's having an awful year, but he's 447 points in 462 in his young career, so this is a lot more of an outlier then you seem to think it is.

But can you tell me what Pettersson's problem is? Because it's important and it has a huge impact on the price and it doesn't matter how many points he scored in the past.

Cozens at $7M vs EP at $9.25M. Both have 9.25M on their books

I'm not a sports psychologist, but its a motivation, and staying accountable, as an issue. There was talk of blaming his tendonitis (as someone with it, I will say that was a convienent excuse), or how Miller shattered his confidence, but it seems to all be media driven BS.

He called him self out in a presser before the game yesterday, and went out and had probably the best overall game he had all year, so take that how you will.
