That was a nice set play to Peterka, they ran it twice. But he has to actually hit the net for it to work.

That's the third time I can think of where Tage tried to one-man toe-drag himself around someone as the last man back that went into their net as an ENG. He's too much of a one man show. Great shooter. Big. Can feast on shitty teams or ones having a bad night. But holy f*** does he remain unable to find a way to make the right play most of the time.

I think the Sabres will lead the league in Daisy curls per 60. Most nights when I can watch the entire game I will keep track of the number of times they take themselves with the puck out of good scoring position and how often they pass out of good scoring position. I also track the number of times somebody goes to the net and stops near the net, and it ain’t pretty. I won’t get into how most of the defense can’t figure out where to stand or how to rotate or what sort of a line to take when they’re supposed to be checking someone or handing off to their partner or any of that that should just be basic f***ing hockey if you’ve gotten to the major league level. I was tracking that for a while and it just made me wanna throw things at my TV.

Hagens or Misa could be the next Stuzle, Clayton Keller, Suzuki, etc. #1 C who are good but won't end up as stars.
