Depending on a 37 year old goalie whose at the tail end of his career as your backup is something only dumb organizations do.

It’s dumber than that. They started the year choosing to rely on a 22 year old rookie goaltender a year after choosing to rely on a 21 year old rookie goaltender last year.

We had our asses completely handed to us in the 1st and were kind of fortunate to only be down 3-0. It sure looked like we were going to get run out of the building.

We had the better of play in the 2nd, but didn't really have any/many quality chances until Tuch's goal.

We basically did whatever we wanted in the 3rd.

Reimer let in what I would consider to be two softies on 2-on-1s that were relatively well defended. Sure looked like he got surprised on each shot.

There's sitting back....and then there's what we did to them in the 3rd. Montreal certainly sat back in the 2nd and then looked like they fell asleep in the 3rd.

we’re seeing the consequences of the poor choice of the organization to develop too many young guys at the NHL level, with a coaching staff that was tasked to develop their own coaching at the NHL level, with a group of leadership core that was of poor quality built by a GM that was developing his management style, but needed to make sure his “vision” he sold Pegula worked so he can keep him here because he couldn’t get a job anywhere else.

We are left with a limited capable team that has no emotional attachment to one another, because that is just not a part of their identity as a player, and there’s nobody on organization that has that in them because the organization hasn’t targeted those sort of guys with their drafting.

Absolutely. He wasn't ready on the Caufield OT shot and he left oodles of space on the shortside. Terrible goal to give up.

We sure as hell didn't dominate the 1st period.

I don't even know what to say anymore. I sit and watch this team and they put forth the effort and look decent doing it, but then for stretches, they just go off the trail and look like they have never played the game before. There are a few players that I would like to see play for other teams. If they end up doing great for someone else in the future so be it, but the Sabres do not have that kind of time for them to "find there game" or whatever here on this team. Adams has some huge decisions to make over the next couple of days.

Easily played well enough to win. Didn't have much puck luck around the Habs' net, and although I hate dumping on the backup goalie, Reimer really cost them the game.

Very disappointed in Dahlin's dumb penalties tonight. He knew exactly what he was doing, and should know better by now. We should expect much more in the way of leadership from him.

And I can understand him, he has been in this stinking organization for almost 7 years and sees how the owner and GM treat win, I think soon Dahlin, Tage and Tuch will leave and I will leave with them. I am tired.
