GDT: Sabres at Wild, 2:00 p.m. EDT; March 22, 2025

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Do you think he would ask why this player is such a catastrophe this year after rehabbing from too bad injuries last year to play well? Like what is the reason for this? Ask a difficult question of the shill.
I think his questions are all, sadly, related to how they did worse when it cost him more.

Maybe next draft, Adams should just go on X and see what people think. Crowd sourcing the draft pick has got to be more successful than his track record.
Well, this year's draft isn't "in person" so they could sit back in their offices scrolling twitter to do that. As long as they don't let the "Blue & Gold" video cameras in that room they're golden.

Just think, this is one of the guys they were planning on paying this summer. He’s been so shit. I wonder qualifying the f***er. He’s definitely somebody I would take out behind the shed slap. There was a point where he was better than Rossi and Perfetti both. And yet here we are where he can’t get his ass into this terrible team lineup because he showed up to this season unprepared and hasn’t done any work to put himself into a position where he should get any sort of consideration for a new contract. That’s both on him for being whatever he has been that has led to this and it’s on the management, which includes the owner for letting this happen. Two years in a row, they relied on this guy to be important for them and two years in a row for different reasons, he has completely let them down.

We were all on Rossi here.

Also would have avoided the Nylander debacle before he got here if Murray had listened. He’d have gotten a solid D.

Any moron could have picked Benson at 13. Hell, this one did.

Several pounding the table for Caulfield in 19 too
There were those that wanted Quinn. This board wasn’t all on Rossi.

It’s funny, was it you that had a thing about defenseman during that draft year?

Let’s not stop to count Benson before he’s done developing. Of the guys that were chosen to play “immediately” from his class, he’s been the least productive (PPG avg), and while he has a decent all-around game, I’m not seeing any increase in his offensive game skills. I see that stagnating already. He’s looking closer to a 3rd liner than a top 6 offensive weapon which is what he was looking like in his draft year
.

I do remember this board screaming for Caulfield quite a bit.

There were 1-2 people for Quinn and most wanted Rossi, including me. Der Jaeger wanted Lundell. Even Botterill wanted to take Rossi before he was fired, and Adams decided to take Quinn.

I feel there were a lot more than 1-2 people that wanted Quinn. But no matter the numbers the board wasn’t all for Rossi.

Was there? Because what i remember was that a lot of people had Rossi in their top 5 or higher, but no one believed he would be there at our pick. In fact a lot of people were very bullish on Lundell more than anyone. Once Rossi had dropped everyone in the draft thread was screaming for him.

After Quinn was drafted it was a lot of people trying to come to terms or convince themselves/others that it was all going to be alright. It reminded me a lot of the Leino signing and Nylander pick.

Quinn wasn't on anyone's radar until it was "leaked" the Sabres liked him on draft day.

Yeah, most people really wanted a center, which is why the "he has center tendencies" quote became such a big thing.

Quinn isn't even playing in the game today.. the fact he is the whole conversation today is hilarious
What’s even more hilarious is that many want to trade JJ. Kid will never be a thumper but he moves his legs and can play anywhere in your top 6
