Which playoffs are we accelerating towards? 25/26 or 26/27? I don't see any significant adds to the roster until prospects are ready 26/27

I'm happy that they try during the games. They don't understand hockey very well but the effort level is there.
I try to enjoy them for what they are.

I mean we’re also only 2pts out of a wild card spot. Don’t get my wrong. They are hardly in great shape. But others teams have allowed us to stay in the mix to some extent.

Too extreme IMO. There is plenty to build around on the roster, and we should. Just imagine what a defenseman version of Zucker could do for the blue line? Imagine another veteran winger filling out the second line? We should be adding pieces and gunning for a playoff spot. This franchise cannot survive another tear-down/rebuild. It would almost certainly result in the team being relocated.

But yeah with Pegula at the helm hiring people based on their loyalty rather than competence its always going to be a struggle.

No I got you. It's just that this team has zero benefit of the doubt, and not being way our of a playoff spot due to a weak conference says more about the weakness of the conference than Buffalo's ability to exploit that weakness to its advantage.
