I should have bet money on Buffalo. I was so close of doing it. They are on a 9 game skid and just knew Toronto wouldn’t show up.
 
By the way this is Devon Levi’s stats this season:

2-5-0 .870 and 3.95 and under .900 each of last 5 games

I've been preaching this since the Habs series.

The best thing that could have happened to the Leafs is them missing the playoff that year after that, the regular season has been a mirage for 8 years, I don't care how many wins they get, they lack Gamers.

He's asked them to give up the stardom for the team game and it has worked. #1 in GA coming into the game and top 5 in xGA. One of the best teams at limiting high danger chances.

The problem is we pay them too much for them to just be that. We lack scoring depth
 
Nylander must be frustrated playing with a centre who can’t get him the puck on the rush.

I've been preaching it since the Zamboni driver game. No self-respecting athlete would allow that to play out the way that it did. Regular season / extremely bizarre circumstances aside, that was a career defining game. Prove me wrong.

We went from 7-14 at defence and 2-5 at offence to 1 at defence and 25-30 at offence

That is worse than what keefe did.

Matthews clearly doesn't enjoy this, just like Ovechkin didn't enjoy Dale Hunter's north south game in 2011 and 2012.
 
At least the Bills/Lions is living up tp the hype.

Although there wasn't much hype for the Leafs today

We all expected there to be growing pains. This is growing pains. This is hockey that wins, our players need to figure out how to score within this system consistently. Other teams have taken longer to figure it out.
