I've always rooted against the Canucks ever since their fanbase whined relentlessly about the big bad Bruins in 2010, then proceeded to destroy their city after losing the cup. I understand there are bad apples in all fanbases, but that seemed excessively bad. So, yay that they lost!

Why are people whining about a 2nd traded for an NHL player. Like they don't have enough lottery tickets already.
Because that 2nd ended up being being Cole Hutson who had a great tournament for USA and looks like a really good prospect for the Caps now. Malenstyn played 8 minutes last night. You can't sweep bad moves under the carpet.

With Lafferty and NAK That 4th line rebuild has been disappointing.

If I remember right Vancouver was dealing with gang problems at the time that may of been the cause of some of that.

Please get rid of Krebs. The experiment is over. He is a crappy version of Benson who does nothing but kill possession with garbage muffin passes.
He played well last night actually. Is he a PP or 2nd line guy ? Nope. But Lindy imo was sending message to the team last night about effort, learning, and doing small things.

Yes we know... Krebs is Lindys new Matt Ellis.

Haven't seen a guy work so hard and accomplish so little in quite some time.

FFS don't put words in peoples mouths. I said he played well last night and Lindy was sending a message to guys who refuse to learn.

"whining" sorry posting one a message board is whining. I Would say your post mirrors whining a lot more than mine does because you are crying about other people's opinions.

Its called poor asset management trading away the 43rd pick in the draft who turns out to be Cole Hutson.

Do you think you build winners trading away the 43rd pick in the draft for someone who plays 7 minutes?

and I'm sure this board would have LOVED Adams drafting a 5'10 170 PMD LD. Playing the hindsight draft game is a waste of time.

Who cares what the board thinks. Did you not watch the WJC? There is always going to be people complaining no matter who gets picked.

Quinn Hughes is 5'10.

He SuCks CaUsE hE's ShOrT.

I don’t get the point of this.

We have no idea if they would have drafted Hutson. And if they did, how would that have done anything to improve our current situation? Plus why do we need another puck moving LHD and one pretty small one at that.

Yeah. I don't get it either. I cannot imagine the Sabres drafting Hutson if we had kept the 2nd round pick.

The guys I think that the Sabres MIGHT have had on their radar would have been some of the bigger Dmen to double down (Brunicke/Pulkkinen/Fischer) or maybe a guy like Ritchie or Stiga. Maybe Plante due to "familiarity".

But I don't see Hutson as being on their radar in the slightest.

It was a learning moment that anonymity in a crowd no longer exists.

I remember Don Cherry saying "oh, that would never have happened in Toronto". BS. If the same scenario played out with Game 7 at home... every yahoo for 200km away would have descended on downtown. I think it would have been even worse if Toronto won the game in that situation.

Basically combine the general flu with a stomach bug. You basically feel like death.....and you've got stuff coming out both ends.
Kid caught it school. I had it all weekend. Nasty business.

And he seems to be doing just fine now, well, except for his back issues this season. Still one of the best defenders in the league and definitely a top 10 defenseman.
I've been a Dahlin fan since day 1.

But he's no longer the player I expected he'd be. At this point in his career, he should be in the top 5 of the league.

Nope. That ain't happening. I guess my expectations for Rasmus are unrealistic.

There's an interesting documentary out there about the Vancouver post Stanley Cup melt down that I caught parts of the other day.

Not condoning what happened but it sounded and looked a lot like a George Floyd style reaction by a community that just was fed up and expressed it via violence. (No excuses being made here.)

Well I disagree and obviously his development has been hurt by this franchise, coaches, constant losing and lack of a mentor/good partner. But he is still top 10 in points among defensemen despite playing less games, he is still decent on defense and good on offense, his metrics over the years have been really good. He has also been a very physical defenseman unlike many of the league's top defensemen, although not this season probably due to a bad back. This team has been terrible without him and we have seen it already this season and the 13 game losing streak. At least they are winning with him but he needs help from others to make the playoffs.

Looks like the Devils and Canes are kicking the tires on Miller
Not sure where he fits in with the Devils, unless he's a wing or they have three great lines with centers like him. Carolina is an interesting option, they really need someone like him in the top 6 C. And he'll probably fit in there well, they have some vets and fun guys, and when Martinook starts screaming before the game, Miller will be a good boy.

We needed to sign Martinook so that he could yell at Cozens like that before the game so that he would wake up and play normally.
