With regards to the Benson goal, didn't we have a similar goal go against us earlier this season? I remember one of our defenders (Gilbert?) checking a forward into the goalie (UPL?), who was then flat on his face for a few seconds without the refs blowing it dead, and the opposing team scored on an open net from the point. Can't remember what game that was in

Hindsight is 20/20 but I feel that Ruff should have put Benson, Kulich and Krebs out there after the timeout. They might not be polished but are aggressive and hustle ….and can be disruptive. It’s done and over. This was a real tough loss.

Tage and Cozens had a break but the Col dman/forward got back to even it, Cozens drifted to the left faceoffs circle, Tage inexplicably levels off to the right board, Power overlaps a tired MacKinnon and heads down the board expecting Tage to pass the puck down the boards and Tage just froze in thought, got worked and boat raced by Toews, it took Cozens way to long to recognize Tage was in a blender and he needed to get back and never got close and Power actually made good ground to get back in the event of a rebound.

Imo the second Tage leveled off and went towards the boards and for some reason didn't see Power, he needed to fire it back to UPL

I dunno who to blame at this point, probably a little of everyone, but this group just cannot and will not hold onto a lead. Ever. If they do it's just pure luck (ie. other team missing the net, UPL happens to hurl himself in the right direction at the right time, etc).

I'd almost rather they go down a few goals early, because there's no amount of goals they can score on a team that'd actually make me feel comfortable. I wish I were kidding but even if they scored 8 unanswered goals in the first period against any team... I'd have to assume the other team would still come back, and 9 out of 10 times that's what would happen. It's crazy and a level of frustrating I can't even really process anymore lol.

Silver lining, if they can figure out how to defend as a team and handle pressure at an NHL level, I think this group has some potential I think they've kinda cracked the code on how to score again.

Should probably ban them from looking at the scoreboard they let up the attack as soon as the lead looks sizeable they gotta learn that we are probably the only team that quits in the league if the game seems out of hand
