Well I am sorry to hear the first part because none what you write makes any sense from coaches perspective.

You wanted Ruff to draw a defensive play which my point was that you really can't. The only thing a coach can do on the situation like that is to give a breather for the players since they kept doing mental midget things and icing the puck. The things you do on the decisive moments in a game like that is what you learn from practices and experience, the coach really cannot tell the players to play right in a moment like that during a timeout.

You either know how to play it correct or you don't. These are the quirks that ail the team from previous hires.
