Like I agree that Bednar is being outclassed by Deboer again and it’s infuriating as can be. I just don’t see how we aren’t holding our stars, who are known to be the BEST players in the league accountable.

I will also say this and it’s just my theory, but based on Landeskogs performance tonight, which I thought was great, he was ready earlier in this series but we wanted the dog and pony show at home. And that’s also going to cost us. It was great and all that, but a) we could have used him sooner and b) was a little bit of a distraction.

Because they're getting smothered and predicted because Bednar can't f***ing coach. Everyone knows what the best line combos are and look what this absolute f*** wad threw out there. Constantly coaching physical play out of guys, being way too loyal to shit players, his f***ing assistant ass clowns getting run circles around. f*** Bednar.
I don't necessarily agree and the reason why is because of the power play. I get that some of it is tactical, but they have a man advantage and are barely doing anything out there. I argue is that they're playing negative hockey

Drouin ties up Rants at the blue line and Makar instead of attacking or backing off just kind of stands there then drifts towards the boards and Rants. Then realizes Seguin needs to be covered and can't get back.

The Makar that was the best player in the league attacks there and takes the puck from Rantanen and walks in and scores on Ottinger.

This version of Makar does whatever he did there.

I thought about that too, but I truly think it was so we could control the matchups for Gabe in his first game back.

Oh well, im still gonna hold on to my prediction that we win one more cup with this core in 2027

Our defense haven't taken chances the entire series - Bednar probably telling them to hold off I'm not sure. Still comes down to just poor lines though in my opinion.

At the end of the day, you win the Stanley Cup because of your stars. You win series' because of them. You win games because of them. Sure, depth helps but you need them to be your best players night in and night out - it's what they're paid so much to do.

Minnesota beats Vegas last night because Kaprizov, Boldy, and Eriksson Ek go nuts and dominate.

Montreal comes back and almost beats Washington in game 1 because Suzuki, Caufield, and Slafkovsky go nuts and dominate.

Edmonton comes back from down 4 goals in the 3rd against LA to almost win because McDavid and Draisaitl go nuts and dominate.

Florida pounds Tampa Bay because Tkachuk, Barkov, Reinhart, and Bennett go nuts and dominate.

Nathan MacKinnon scored 3 goals through 2 games, so he gets SOMEWHAT of a pass even though I thought he was very bad tonight.

However, Cale Makar looks putrid. He looks awful with the puck, he's missing the net on 90% of his shot attempts, anything he does get on net looks like a muffin floating in from the point, he's not moving with NEARLY as much fluidity, agility or burst as usual. He looks bad bad bad.

You want to lose a series, have your two best players look the way they did tonight.

You would think Bednar recognizes the importance of having four effective lines. Instead, that dumb **** tries to supercharge the first line and ends up neutering both Necas and Mack.

Someone castigated me for being so critical of Bednar after the game 2 loss. They said, trust the process. Well screw you and Bednar’s process you dumb ***. It’s maddening because it’s OBVIOUS you need to split Mack and Necas.
No I actually don't think Bednar recognizes that having four effective lines is important.

Okay now the good. Landeskog actually did look great. Nuke with a good bounce back game. Lehks is a beast. Blackwood looked good all game, he has to stop one of those shots in OT but he’s been solid back there. That’s all I got lol. Game 4 must win, I think we can do it. I have to believe because hope is all we have damn it! Night Avs fam.

This is how DeBoer coaches his teams against MacKinnon and Makar.

Give them no space to generate speed and stay on them likes flies on shit.

It’s very tiring to defend like that, but he gets his players to buy-in and obviously the results speak for themselves.

Yup.

And you can see it’s definitely getting to both Mack and Makar. Frustrated and effort levels dropping leading to poor plays and missed chances.
