Landy situation must be in their heads or something. Odd period. I thought we would come out flying and trying to suffocate them but instead the opposite yes.
That’s honestly what it felt like. Tons of pressure and zone time for Dallas, but very few scary moments. The fact the Avs generated close to as much danger with so little time with puck kind of encapsulates that period.
The avs will be better next 2 periods, no doubt.
They finished the period with a 5v5 xGF% of 19.73.
And his passing is solid...field vision still there.Very impressed with Landeskog. He's throwing the body, getting into soft areas and making good heads up play. Smart player. Really incredible his 1st game back. Hoping for the best, if he keeps this up we still have a really valuable player for years to come.
Top line is way top soft at the moment..Nuke or Lehkonen need to be bumped up. Ugly pitiful turnovers by the 1st line all period.
Odd, I was told that my fears that DeBoer was once again going to curb stomp Bednar and his refusal to actually coach were unfounded.20-9 corsi for dallas. Matces the eye test.
Dallas are doing a great job of stopping the Avs transition game and forcing them to dump the puck in. Dallas are dictating the game and it's up to the Avs to make adjustments to turn this around.

Yes please. Landy just sitting his big, juicy ass in front of Oettinger would give them more than what Drou has on the PPPut Landeskog on powerplay #1. Take Drouin off.
First thing I'd do is split up the top-6 that clearly isn't working.Serious question because I'm not some hockey guru, I just love the sport, but how do you counter what Dallas is doing to slow us down and controlling the puck in our own end now? Like what does Bednar need to change to regain some leverage here and get our stars playing to their abilities?
That's a total ass kicking.20-9 corsi for dallas.
It took Dallas a game and a half to adjust. On par with the previous years.Odd, I was told that my fears that DeBoer was once again going to curb stomp Bednar and his refusal to actually coach were unfounded.

It amazing that Dallas is missing their best forward and defenseman and are still doing this on the road.
DeBoer truly is the Bednar's kryptonite.
I'm a fan! Smooth look for him. I bet he's even got socks.PK looking like a crisp pack of Black and Mild Jazz.
That's a total ass kicking.

Bednar: "Your absolutely right. MacK, Makar I want you guys skating 30% harder in the 2nd period. Toews, 20% harder. Okay boys let get back at it!"C'mon Bednar, adjust or die

It will take until Game 5 for Bednar to get eliminated once again by DeBoer's team. I think Bednar's come up with a really good general system (for the most part), however, I think he's failed the team repeatedly whenever another team's coach makes adjustments to counter his system. Outside of 2022 when the Avs where just a beast of a team, Bednar's been beat up pretty good by other coaches. That's a total ass kicking.

Holy shit you weren't wrong. We bitch about reffing here but those boys need some new glasses prescriptions on that board.Regardless of the end result of this game, the dallas board is f***ing hilarious to read right now
I agree. Somehow Dallas seems to be our worst matchup. Funnily I think we could beat anyone else. Maybe Vegas would be tough too.
Simplify. Dump and chase and force Dallas' shitty D to make mistakes. They're allowing virtually nothing through the neutral zone.Serious question because I'm not some hockey guru, I just love the sport, but how do you counter what Dallas is doing to slow us down and controlling the puck in our own end now?
