Now he's not my first choice. that is either Yanni Groude or ROR But I di Ryan Strome is another potenial target and one oof the reasons why is because he's not a rental and we know that Treliving would prefer a guy with term and Ryan Strome has term.

The Ducks are sitting 7 points out of the wildcard so I thhink threy will br sellers come the deadline and I am not saying Ryan strome will be traded for sure but I do think they will be open to moving him.

what would a deal look like?

He's a pretty popular player and a leader on the team. Having his best year as a Duck and has two more years after this one at a reasonable cap hit. Honestly, I don't see the incentive for Anaheim to move him, unless the offer blows your socks off.

I suppose if you wanted to maximize value, this would be the time. This team doesn't need more draft picks IMO.

Yeah I can see why teams would be calling, he'd be good veteran depth to have around for the stretch drive. A coach can slot him pretty much anywhere as needed and know he'll be dependable.

But like you said, I don't know that he would fetch enough that it would make it worthwhile for Anaheim to move him. Currently using him as top line center with Vatrano and Terry, plus he's a team leader, might have as much value to Anaheim as anyone else.

Should look through the Strome signing thread, I doubt him being traded with positive value at this point would align with most opinions of that signing at the time.

He’s really turned the corner this year. They moved him back to Center and his line with Terry and Vatrano has been our best all year. Personally I wouldn’t hate if he was traded, but I seriously doubt we’d move him. He’s pretty clearly one of the leaders in the locker room. I’m honestly a bit surprised he didn’t get the C over Gudas.
