I don't see this being the case. Maybe if he had signed on long term but I am guessing the A goes to either Johnson or Dutchy with the dark horse being Iggy (no pun intended) for his tenure here.

Next year, McLeod will likely be allowed to move on and his A will go to the other of Johnson, Dutchy or Iggy.

He was only given a one year deal in Boston and was a deadline acquisition in Pittsburgh. He's in Colorado for a while. Neither the Bruins or Pittsburgh are as young and inexperienced as the Avs. I'm not certain but I don't think there was a letter open to give to him on either team.

Agree with this. Give letters to core guys. Would do so much more for Duchene, EJ. Iggy will be a leader regardless.
