really like the guy, sucks he is injured, but its not all bad this year has been a bad year for the team, its bttr he doesnt play for them and works his ass of like crazy ready to be a top pairing d man next year when their team will have a top 10 pick, along with more experiecnce and talent to make sure they make the playoffs next year. Still see him as a potential norris winner and perennial allstar, along with top 10 dman in his prime

Just really unlucky. Johansen fell on him. At least it's not the same thing getting injured again.

Story of the season for Columbus basically.

He was wonderful in the few games he's played.

Just bad luck, still gotta think this kid will develop into a very nice piece of the Blue Jackets puzzle.

I remember dealing with the same frustrations as a Red Wings fan during Kronwall and Helm's first few seasons to the point where I would've understood Holland trying to deal them. It seemed neither of them could stay healthy for an extended period of time. Now, I can't imagine the team without them.

So frustrating. He's a big factor every game he plays, but he needs to be in more games... :(

And yet people still say the Oilers should have taken him over Yakupov.

I'll take a guy struggling to find his game over a guy who is barely on the ice cause he can't stay healthy.

In other words, you'll take someone who is playing woefully over someone who plays very well whenever he's healthy?

He's had one injury plagued season lol. The injury he suffered last year is the same one had problems with this year. He played 71 of Columbus' 88 games (RS + PO) last year. I fail to see how that's "struggling to stay healthy."

He's had a rough year with injuries (knee he suffered last year in Toronto carried over until this year, then now high ankle sprain). But so has the team. I'm confident he'll come in next year and be fine.

Signed, someone who didn't want to draft Ryan Murray.
