Lindgren is our redemption for the awful McIlrath pick. But man, I can’t help but wonder what could have been if McIlrath reached his full potential, like if he became a great skater and was a rock defensively.

The Hajek obsession was confusing, because pretty much no one else in the league thought highly of him besides the Rangers and Rangers fans. Hopefully he can still turn it around, but it would shock me if he did.
My conversations about Lindgren were always very positive. Apparently he had an unimpressive rookie camp with Boston after he was drafted and they soured on him. Their loss is our gain.

I love his game but I dont see his body lasting that long with his frame and style of play. He plays like hes half a foot taller than he is which I f***in respect, but the kid takes a beating.

Duly noted point about the aging of defensemen like Lindgren. But that's a conversation for five years from now. He's only in his second year in the league ffs

said it in the PGT but Lindgren is like, a step quicker and half a second quicker in his decisions. he looks noticably different.

Prime example of a kid developing in this system with this teams management and coaches. He looked like a career AHL/7TH dman his first camp. Now he's looking like someone you could have on your top pair. Whats incredible to me is how much better he has gotten with making outlet passes.

Going to continue to say it. Lindgren to the future defense of this team is what Foote was to those Avs defenses. The glue that holds it all together. The steadying, calming presence.

Man, I just wish he was the same size as Schneider.
Of course, if he was the same size as Schneider, a) he probably would've been drafted where Schneider was, and b) BOS never would've traded him to us.
I am very wary of how he'll age, and he can still have difficulty with big power forwards in front of the crease, but as long as he remains healthy, he can play on my 2nd pairing any day.

This team has skill. Present and Future. Now what we need is guys like this kid. Can play the game. Play up and down the dpairs if necessary and push back against teams like the islanders and Caps.
Rick Nash trade keeps getting better. He’s that stay at home dman with an edge teams crave.
